Abstract

A data storage system for an electronic gaming device has been developed. The system includes a portable electronic memory device and player data that is stored on the memory device. The player data is generated by an electronic gaming device upon engagement of the game by the player.

Claims

1. A data storage device for a player of a gambling game, comprising:

a portable electronic memory device; and

player data that is stored on the memory device, where the player data is generated by an electronic gaming device upon engagement by the player.

2. The device of claim 1, where the player data comprises an undisplayed outcome of the electronic gaming device.

3. The device of claim 1, where the player data comprises player identification data.

4. The device of claim 1, where the player data comprises player tracking data.

5. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises the amount wagered by the player.

6. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises the won/loss record of the player.

7. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises the number of visits of the player.

8. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises the time of day of play by the player.

9. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises responsiveness of the player to promotions.

10. The device of claim 4, where the player tracking data comprises group classification of the player.

11. The device of claim 1, where the player data comprises electronic scrip.

12. The device of claim 1, where the player data comprises a data based award.

13. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises computer software.

14. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises an audio file.

15. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises a video file.

16. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises a player tracking points.

17. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises an undisplayed outcome.

18. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises a display program for undisplayed outcomes.

19. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises a digital key.

20. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises a cellular telephone ring tones.

21. The device of claim 12, where the data based award comprises an image file.

22. The device of claim 1, where the player data is generated by a website.

23. The device of claim 1, where the player data is generated by a player tracking system.

24. A data storage device for a player of a gambling game, comprising:

a portable electronic memory device; and

means for storing player data on the memory device, where the player data is generated by an electronic gaming device upon engagement by the player.

25. A data storage device for a player of a gambling game, comprising:

a portable processor that tracks player activity; and

a portable electronic memory device that stores data from the processor.

26. The data storage device of claim 25, where the portable processor tracks player internet activity.

27. The data storage device of claim 25, where the processor tracks player point of sale activity.

28. The data storage device of claim 25, where that data storage device communicates data with the gambling game.

29. The data storage device of claim 25, where that data storage device communicates data with connected devices of the gambling game.

30. The data storage device of claim 29, where the data communication is through a USB connection.

31. The data storage device of claim 29, where the data communication is wireless.

32. The data storage device of claim 29, where the connection is telephonic.

33. The data storage device of claim 25, further comprising:

a player communication device.

34. The data storage device of claim 33, where the player communication device comprises a cellular telephone.

35. The data storage device of claim 33, where the player communication device comprises a flash memory device.
