First Claim
1. An organic electroluminescent display comprising:
- an organic electroluminescent device including an organic luminescent medium which emits light having an emission peak wavelength λ
1 of 400 to 500 nm, and a first reflecting member and a second reflecting member disposed with the organic luminescent medium placed therebetween; and
a fluorescence conversion section which absorbs the light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device and emits light having a wavelength differing from the wavelength of the light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device, the fluorescence conversion section having a maximum wavelength of λ
2 in a range of 400 to 500 nm in an excitation spectrum;
light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device being subjected to optical interference between the first reflecting member and the second reflecting member so that an emission component having a wavelength λ
3, which is closer to the wavelength λ
2 than the wavelength λ
1, is enhanced and emitted from the organic electroluminescent device.

An organic electroluminescent display including: an organic electroluminescent device including an organic luminescent medium (4) which emits light having an emission peak wavelength l of 400 to 500 nm, and a first reflecting member (2) and a second reflecting member (5b) disposed with the organic luminescent medium (4) placed therebetween; and a fluorescence conversion section (7) which absorbs the light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device and emits light having a wavelength differing from the wavelength of the light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device, the fluorescence conversion section having a maximum wavelength of λ2 in a range of 400 to 500 nm in an excitation spectrum; light emitted from the organic electroluminescent device being subjected to optical interference between the first reflecting member (2) and the second reflecting member (5b) so that an emission component having a wavelength λ3, which is closer to the wavelength λ2 than the wavelength λ1, is enhanced and emitted from the organic electroluminescent device.
