Abstract

A system with at least one access control device (1) exhibiting an access authorization reader (4) for data carrier (8) containing access authorization and identification data, a database (9) and a camera (7). Once a valid access authorization is read, the identification data from the data carrier in question (8) and a digitized image of the user taken by the camera (7) are stored in the database. The stored image of the user of the particular data carrier can be transferred from the database (9) to terminals (11 to 13), in order to compare it with a image of the user previously taken and stored in the database (9). If the images of the user do not match, further access is denied for that particular data carrier (8).

Claims

1. A system with at least one access control device (1) with an access authorization reader (4) for data carrier (8) containing access authorization and identification data, and with a database (9) in which the identification data from the data carrier in question (8) is stored, characterized by a camera (7),by means of which a digitized image of the user of the data carrier (8)is taken upon access, and stored in the database (9) along with the identification data for the data carrier (8), and at least one terminal (11 to 13) with a display screen, to which the stored image of the user of the relevant data carrier (8) can be transferred for visual comparison with a image previously taken and stored, whereby the user of the particular data carrier (8) can be denied further access if the user images do not match.

2. A system according to claim 1, characterized by storage in a database (9) of the time of access, as well as of the information data for the data carrier and an image of the user, all at the point of access.

A system according to claim 1 with several access control devices, characterized by the storage in a database (9) of the identification data from the data carrier (8) together with data identifying the particular access control device, once a valid access authorization has been read by one of the access control devices (1).

4. A system according to claim 1, characterized by the use of a selection program to select certain data carriers for the transmission of images from the database (9) to the terminal (11 to 13) for visual comparison purposes.

5. A system according to claim 4, characterized by the selection by the selection program selecting the data carriers (8) according to their value, based on a behavior analysis of the user of the data carrier and/or statistics.

6. A system according to claim 4, characterized by the control via the selection program of the images taken by the camera (7) and/or of the storage of images in the database.

7. A system according to claim 1, characterized by the transfer of the images and the data carrier identification data from the database (9) to the terminal (11 to 13) via the Internet.

8. A system according to claim 1, characterized by the use of a computer program by means of which the head of the user is isolated and therefore only a digitized image of the head of the user is stored.

A system according to claim 1, characterized by the use of a computer program which registers and stores for comparison purposes the color patterns of the user'"'"'s clothing, whereby the user of the data carrier in question (8)is denied further access if there are deviations in the color patterns of the user'"'"'s clothing.

10. A system according to claim 1, characterized by the camera (7) used to record the image of the user being activated when the data carrier (8) is read by the access authorization reader (4) and/or when the user moves forward and is detected by sensors.
