Abstract

A system for providing feedback on educational standards within schools includes an interface providing access to a plurality of established educational standards which may be downloaded into a database of the system. A plurality of control modules enables a user to establish educational programs specifically associated with at least one of the downloaded established educational standards and receive feedback on student performance. Real time reports on student performance are provided responsive to the received feedback on student performance.

Claims

1. A system for providing feedback on an application of educational standards within schools, comprising:

at least one database for storing a plurality established educational standards; and

a plurality of control modules enabling a user to establish educational programs specifically associated with at least one of the downloaded established educational standards, receiving feedback on student performance of the educational programs and providing real time reports on student performance responsive to the feedback on student performance.

2. The system of claim 1, further including an interface providing access via a computer network to a plurality of established educational standards that may be downloaded to the at least one database.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of control modules further include a first download module for downloading established educational standards to the at least one database in a relational database format.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of control modules further includes a lesson plan module enabling the user to generate a lesson plan and to associate at least one of the established educational standards with the generated lesson plan.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of control modules further includes an assignment module enabling the user to create an assignment and associate at least one of the established educational standards with the created assignment.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of control modules further includes a grade module for recording grades of students which are associated with an assignment and stored in the at least one data base.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of control modules further includes a report module for generating the real time reports on student performance responsive to the feedback on student performance and to an identity of a person requesting the reports.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the control modules further includes a second download module for downloading school district data into the at least one database.

9. An apparatus comprising:

a computer readable storage media for storing instructions to program a general purpose computer;

wherein, the instructions configure the general purpose computer to;

store within at least one database a plurality of established educational standards;

establish educational programs specifically associated with at least one of the downloaded established educational standards;

receive feedback on student performance of the educational programs; and

provide real time reports on student performance responsive to the feedback on student performance.

10. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to download the plurality of established educational standards via a computer network to the at least one database.

11. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to download the established educational standards to the at least one database in a relational database format.

12. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to generate a lesson plan and to associate at least one of the established educational standards with the generated lesson plan.

13. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to to create an assignment and associate at least one of the established educational standards with the created assignment.

14. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to record grades of students which are associated with an assignment and stored in the at least one database.

15. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to generate the real time reports on student performance responsive to the feedback on student performance and to an identity of a person requesting the reports.

16. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the general purpose computer is further configured to download school district data into the at least one database.

17. A system for providing feedback on an application of educational standards within schools, comprising:

an interface providing access via a computer network to a plurality of established educational standards that may be downloaded;

at least one database for storing the plurality established educational standards that may be downloaded through the interface;

a first download module for downloading established educational standards to the at least one database in a relational database format;

a second download module for downloading school district data into the at least one database;

a lesson plan module enabling the user to generate a lesson plan and to associate at least one of the established educational standards with the generated lesson plan;

an assignment module enabling the user to create an assignment and associate at least one of the established educational standards and at least one lesson plan with the created assignment;

a grade module for recording grades of students which are associated with an assignment and stored in the at least one data base; and

a report module for generating the real time reports on student performance responsive to the recorded grades, the school district data and an identity of a person requesting the reports.

18. A method for providing feedback on an application of educational standards within schools, comprising:

storing within at least one database a plurality established educational standards;

establishing educational programs specifically associated with at least one of the downloaded established educational standards;

receiving feedback on student performance; and

generating real time reports on student performance responsive to the feedback on student performance.

19. The method of claim 18 further including the step of downloading the plurality of established educational standards via a computer network to the at least one database.

20. The method of claim 18 further including the step of downloading the established educational standards to the at least one database in a relational database format.

21. The method of claim 18 wherein the step of establishing further includes the step of generating a lesson plan associated with at least one of the established educational standards.

22. The method of claim 18 wherein the step of establishing further included the step of creating an assignment associated with at least one of the established educational standards.

23. The method of claim 18 wherein the step of receiving further includes the step of recording grades of students associated with an assignment in the at least one data base.

24. The method of claim 23 further including the step of downloading school district data into the at least one database.

25. The method of claim 24 wherein the step of generating further includes the step of generating the real time reports on student performance responsive to the recorded grades, the school district data and to an identity of a person requesting the reports.
