Abstract

An improved radome comprises at least one conductive flat structure (21) being incorporated in the material of the radome.

Claims

1. A radome, in particular for a mobile radio antenna, wherein at least one conductive surface structure is incorporated in the material of the radome.

2. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the radome which comprises a front face and a rear wall, is designed such that the at least one flat line structure is incorporated at least in the rear wall and/or in the front face of the radome.

3. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the radome, which comprises a front face and at least two side wall sections, is designed such that the at least one flat line structure is incorporated in the front face and/or in the side wall sections of the radome, preferably in the form of a side wall section or a side wall web.

4. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the flat line structure in the rear wall of the radome forms an integrated reflector.

The radome according to claim 3, wherein the line structures or line structure sections which are provided in the side wall section form side wall sections which are associated with the integrated reflector, are electrically connected to the reflector which is incorporated in the rear face of the radome, and/or represent part of the reflector which is integrated in the radome.

The radome according to claim 1, wherein the radome is closed at least on part of its height and preferably over the entire length in the circumferential direction, and additionally has a rear wall in addition to a front face in side wall sections or has only a front face, preferably with side wall sections.

7. The radome according to claim 1, wherein non-conductive sections, preferably with a slot structure, pass through the at least one flat line structure.

8. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the flat line structure has branching sections and/or non-conductive sections, by which means passive beamforming elements are formed.

9. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the at least one flat line structure which is incorporated in the rear wall forms the single reflector in particular of a mobile radio antenna (1).

10. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the at least one flat line structure which is incorporated in the rear wall forms a double reflector for a second reflector, which is not integrated and is additionally provided within the radome, preferably at a distance in front of the rear wall.

11. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the at least one flat line structure has a conductive mesh structure and/or hole structure and/or grating structure and/or line grating structure and/or wire mesh structure.

12. The radome according to claim 11, wherein the flat line structure is provided with rows of apertures which run in the longitudinal direction or aligned at an angle with respect to the longitudinal or vertical direction of the radome.

The radome according to claim 1, wherein the apertures in the mesh structure, in the hole structure, in the grating structure, in the strip grating structure and/or in the honeycomb structure are of such a size that the opening size or the distance between two conductive elements is less than λ

is the wavelength of the highest frequency to be transmitted.

14. The radome according to claim 1, wherein the flat line structure is in the form of a metal foil which is coated at least on one side and preferably on both sides with a layer which is composed of paper or includes paper.

15. Mobile radio antenna having a radome according to claim 1.

16. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein an omnidirectional antenna element is accommodated in the interior of the radome.

17. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein linearly polarized antenna elements are accommodated in the interior of the radome.

18. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 17, wherein the antenna elements are held and mounted on a supporting strip in the interior of the radome.

19. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein only one reflector is provided and is incorporated as an integrated reflector in the material of the radome, specifically in its rear wall.

20. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein, in addition to the reflector which is incorporated in integrated form in the rear wall, a further reflector is provided which is located in front of the rear wall and on which the antenna elements or antenna element groups are arranged.

21. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein the flat line structure which is incorporated in the radome, in particular a line structure that is incorporated in the front face, is in the form of a passive line patch or an active line patch.

22. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein the mobile radio antenna represents a single-band, a dual-band or a multiband antenna.

23. Mobile radio antenna according to claim 15, wherein the antenna is a single-polarized or dual-polarized antenna.
