logic configured to receive and store data indicative of a function, a functional failure, a failure mode, and a failure effect, via the input device, the logic further configured to display the received data to a display device in response to a first user input and display a plurality of logical selectable input boxes corresponding to a type of the failure mode and at least one task or default strategy for addressing the failure mode, the logic further configured to receive at least one selection input via the selectable input boxes and receive data describing the at least one task or the at least one default strategy.

A reliability centered maintenance system having an input device and logic that receives and stores data indicative of a function, a functional failure, a failure mode, and a failure effect, via the input device, displays the received data to a display device in response to a first user input, and displays a plurality of logical selectable input boxes corresponding to a type of the failure mode and at least one task or default strategy for addressing the failure mode. The logic further receives at least one selection input via the selectable input boxes and receive data describing the at least one task or the at least one default strategy.

receiving data indicative of a function, a functional failure, a failure mode, and a failure effect;
storing the data in memory;
displaying the data received in the receiving step to a display device in response to a first user input;
displaying a plurality of logical selectable input boxes corresponding to a type of the failure mode;
receiving data indicative of at least one task for addressing the failure mode;
receiving at least one selection input via the selectable input boxes;
receiving data describing the at least one task; and

a graphical user interface comprising a selectable input box corresponding to an operational check that when selected indicates that a displayed failure mode causes a failure condition that can be inspected before, during, or after operation;

a graphical user interface comprising a text box for exhibiting data indicative of at least one of the failure modes and a selectable copy button; and
logic configured to display a window comprising a listing of the plurality of failure modes when the selectable copy button is selected, the logic further configured to copy data from the displayed window to the graphical user interface in response to a user input.

memory for storing data indicative of a plurality of failure modes and failure mode time intervals indexed via a plurality of failure mode identifiers;
logic configured to display a portion of the plurality of failure modes, failure mode times intervals, and associated failure mode identifiers, the logic further configured to receive data indicative of an area inspection, a synchronized time interval, and a maintenance package corresponding to the portion of failure modes displayed.

34. A reliability centered maintenance method, comprising:

identifying a scope of an analysis;
generating an operating context related to the scope of analysis;
identifying functions, functional failures, failure modes, and failure effects related to the operating context;
analyzing each failure mode identified in the identifying step; and
