Abstract

A light emitting device including a blue-system semiconductor light emitting element, a green-system semiconductor light emitting element, a yellow fluorescent member which absorbs a part of blue light from the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and emits yellow-system light as excitation light, and a red fluorescent member which absorbs a part of green light from the green-system semiconductor light emitting element and emits red-system light as excitation light.

Claims

1. A light emitting device, comprising:

a blue-system semiconductor light emitting element;

a green-system semiconductor light emitting element;

a yellow fluorescent member which absorbs a part of blue light from the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and emits yellow-system light; and

a red fluorescent member which absorbs a part of green light from the green-system semiconductor light emitting element and emits red-system light.

2. The light emitting device according to claim 1,

wherein the yellow fluorescent member includes yellow fluorescent particles and the red fluorescent member includes red fluorescent particles.

3. The light emitting device according to claim 2,

wherein the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and the green-system semiconductor light emitting element are covered by a yellow-red resinous sealing body integrally containing the yellow fluorescent particles and the red fluorescent particles.

4. The light emitting device according to claim 1,

further comprising a blue-yellow light emitting section formed by the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and the yellow fluorescent member configured to receive a part of blue light emitted from the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element, and a red-green light emitting section formed by the green-system semiconductor light emitting element and the red fluorescent member configured to receive a part of green light emitted from the green-system semiconductor light emitting element,

wherein the blue-yellow light emitting section and the red-green light emitting section are formed independently.

5. The light emitting device according to claim 4,

wherein the blue-yellow light emitting section and the red-green light emitting section are disposed side-by-side in contact with each other.

6. The light emitting device according to claim 4,

wherein the blue-yellow light emitting section and the red-green light emitting section are disposed at a predetermined interval.

7. The light emitting device according to claim 4,

wherein the blue-yellow light emitting section and the red-green light emitting section are disposed interposing a light-shielding partition therebetween.

8. The light emitting device according to claim 1,

wherein the red fluorescent member includes CaAlSiN₃ fluorescent particles in which Eu²+is solid-solved.

10. An illumination apparatus, comprising:

the light emitting device recited in claim 1;

and

a circuit board on which the light emitting device is mounted.

11. The illumination apparatus according to claim 10,

wherein a plurality of light emitting devices are mounted on the circuit board, each of the plurality of light emitting devices being as recited in claim 1.

9. A light emitting device, comprising:

a substrate;

a blue-system semiconductor light emitting element mounted on one surface of the substrate;

a green-system semiconductor light emitting element mounted on the one surface of the substrate;

a yellow fluorescent member disposed to cover the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and configured to absorb a part of blue light from the blue-system semiconductor light emitting element and emit yellow-system light as excitation light; and

a red fluorescent member disposed to cover the green-system semiconductor light emitting element and configured to absorb a part of green light from the green-system semiconductor light emitting element and emit red-system light as excitation light.
