17. A prosthetic valve and delivery system, the valve mountable to the delivery system in either first or second orientations, wherein the prosthetic valve comprises:
-
a replacement valve having a generally tubular valve body wall;
an expandable stent having a framework with first and second ends; and
a plurality of sutures holding the framework to the valve body wall at the first and second ends, wherein the sutures at the first end are visually distinct from the sutures at the second end;
wherein the delivery system is provided with at least one visual indicator that corresponds with the sutures at the first end of the framework; and
wherein the at least one visual indicator is located such that when the valve is mounted in the first orientation relative to the delivery system, the at least one visual indicator is adjacent to the first end of the framework.

19. A prosthetic valve and delivery system, the valve mountable to the delivery system in either correct or incorrect manners, wherein the prosthetic valve comprises:
-
a replacement valve having a tubular valve body wall;
an expandable stent having a framework with first and second ends; and
a colored marker located at one of the first and second ends;
wherein the delivery system is provided with a colored component of generally the same color as the marker; and
wherein the colored component is located such that when the valve is correctly mounted to the delivery system, the colored component is adjacent to the colored marker. - View Dependent Claims (18)
