1. An assembly for separating and collecting dirt from an air stream, comprising:

  • an elongated container having a substantially cylindrical sidewall, a bottom and a top;

    an inlet formed in the sidewall;

    a disrupter ring mounted on the inner surface of the sidewall to define a first stage separation zone between the top and the disrupter ring;

    a second separation zone including a frusto-conical cyclone disposed coaxially within the first stage separation zone; and

    a shroud with a plurality of holes disposed over the second separation zone to direct air to the second stage separation zone.
