10. A projection system, comprising:

a light source to generate light;
an imaging core to impose an image on generated light from the light source to form image light, wherein the imaging core comprises at least one polarizing beam splitter and at least one imager, wherein the polarizing beam splitter comprises;
a polyester polarizing film;
an adhesive layer disposed on the polyester polarizing film and between the light source and the polyester polarizing film, the adhesive layer comprising an adhesive and a U.V. absorber;
a first rigid cover disposed on the adhesive layer; and
a second rigid cover disposed adjacent to the polyester polarizing film;
a ultraviolet light filter disposed between the light source and the imaging core; and

16. A method of stabilizing a polyester film, the method comprising:

disposing an adhesive layer on a polyester film, the adhesive layer comprising an adhesive, and a U.V. absorber;
