1. A method of polling a server in a mobile communication network, the method comprising:
- determining whether the mobile device is in a first mode;
polling at least one server for delivery of data while the mobile device is in the first mode; and
discontinuing the polling, if the mobile device is in a second mode, wherein the first mode is distinguished from the second mode based on at least one of length of user interaction with the mobile device to perform one or more functions and degree with which a power source of the mobile device is utilized.
