Abstract

A communication device comprises a first memory which stores telephone books, each including identification information and a name of a communication party, a second memory which stores communication histories, each including a communication time and identification information and a name of a communication party, a changing device which changes a telephone book stored in the first memory, and a control device which, when the telephone book is changed, changes a communication history stored in the second memory in accordance with a content of change.

Claims

1. A communication device comprising:

a phonebook configured to store a plurality of phonebook items, each phonebook item including identification information and a name of a communication party;

a communication history configured to store a plurality of communication history items, each communication history item including identification information and a name of a communication party;

a changing device configured to change a content of a first phonebook item; and

a control device configured to, if said changing device changes a content of the first phonebook item, change a content of a first communication history item corresponding to the first phonebook item in accordance with the changed content of the first phonebook item.

2. The communication device according to claim 1, wherein if a name in the first phonebook item is changed to a second name, said control device changes a name of a communication history item having the same identification information as the identification information of the first phonebook item to the second name.

3. The communication device according to claim 1, wherein if a second phonebook item including a second name and second identification is added to the phonebook, said control device changes a name of a communication history item having the second identification information to the second name.

4. The communication device according to claim 1, wherein if identification information of the first phonebook item is changed to a second identification information, said control device deletes a name of a communication history item having the identification information of the first phonebook item.

The communication device according to claim 1, wherein if identification information of the first phonebook item is changed to a second identification information, said control device changes a name of a communication history item having the second identification information to a name of a phonebook item having the second identification information.

The communication device according to claim 1, wherein said phonebook item further includes a first flag indicating whether a communication history item relating to the communication party is stored in said communication history, and said control device determines based on the first flag whether the communication history item to be changed is stored in said communication history.

The communication device according to claim 6, which further comprises a deleting device configured to delete the least recent communication history item or an unnecessary communication history item from said communication history, and wherein said communication history item further includes a second flag indicating whether a phonebook item relating to the communication party is stored in said phonebook, and said deleting device change the first flag relating to the phonebook item corresponding to a deleted communication history item based on the second flag relating to the deleted communication history item.

8. The communication device according to claim 1, wherein the identification information comprises a telephone number.

9. The communication device according to claim 1, wherein the identification information comprises an electronic mail address.

10. A telephone device comprising:

a phonebook configured to store telephone numbers and party names, each telephone number associating with each party name;

a detecting device configured to detect a telephone number associated with a call;

a call history configured to store the detected telephone number and the party name associated with the detected telephone number;

a changing device configured to change a content of the phonebook; and

a control device configured to, if said changing device changes the content of the phonebook, change a content of the communication history in accordance with the changed content of the phonebook.

11. A telephone device comprising:

a phonebook configured to store telephone numbers and party names, each telephone number associating with each party name;

a detecting device configured to detect a telephone number associated with a call;

a call history configured to store the detected telephone number and the party name associated with the detected telephone number;

a changing device configured to change a first telephone number of the phonebook to a second telephone number; and

a control device configured to, if said changing device changes the first telephone number of the phonebook to the second telephone number, change a telephone number of the communication history associated with a party name associated with the first telephone number of the phonebook to the second telephone number.

12. An electronic mail device comprising:

a mail address book configured to store mail addresses and party names, each mail address associating with each party name;

a detecting device configured to detect a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

a mail history configured to store the detected mail address and the party name associated with the detected mail address;

a changing device configured to change a content of the mail address book; and

a control device configured to, if said changing device changes the content of the mail address book, change a content of the mail history in accordance with the changed content of the mail address book.

13. An electronic mail device comprising:

a mail address book configured to store mail addresses and party names, each mail address associating with each party name;

a detecting device configured to detect a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

a call history configured to store the detected mail address and the party name associated with the detected mail address;

a changing device configured to change a first mail address of the mail address book to a second mail address; and

a control device configured to, if said changing device changes the first mail address of the mail address book to the second mail address, change a mail address of the mail history associated with a party name associated with the first mail address of the mail address book to the second mail address.

14. A communication method comprising:

storing a plurality of phonebook items, each phonebook item including identification information and a name of a communication party;

storing a plurality of communication history items, each communication history item including identification information and a name of a communication party; and

changing, if a content of a first phonebook item is changed, a content of a first communication history item corresponding to the first phonebook item in accordance with the changed content of the first phonebook item.

15. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein if a name in the first phonebook item is changed to a second name, a name of a communication history item having the same identification information as the identification information of the first phonebook item is changed to the second name.

16. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein if a second phonebook item including a second name and second identification is added to the phonebook, a name of a communication history item having the second identification information is changed to the second name.

17. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein if identification information of the first phonebook item is changed to a second identification information, a name of a communication history item having the identification information of the first phonebook item is deleted.

18. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein if identification information of the first phonebook item is changed to a second identification information, a name of a communication history item having the second identification information is changed to a name of a phonebook item having the second identification information.

The communication method according to claim 14, wherein said phonebook item further includes a first flag indicating whether a communication history item relating to the communication party is stored in said communication history, and it is determined based on the first flag whether the communication history item to be changed is stored in said communication history.

20. The communication method according to claim 19, which further comprises deleting the least recent communication history item or an unnecessary communication history item from said communication history, and wherein said communication history item further includes a second flag indicating whether a phonebook item relating to the communication party is stored in said phonebook, and the first flag relating to the phonebook item corresponding is changed to a deleted communication history item based on the second flag relating to the deleted communication history item.

21. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein the identification information comprises a telephone number.

22. The communication method according to claim 14, wherein the identification information comprises an electronic mail address.

23. A communication method comprising:

storing telephone numbers and party names, each telephone number associating with each party name;

detecting a telephone number associated with a call;

storing the detected telephone number and the party name associated with the detected telephone number; and

changing, if a content of the phonebook is changed, a content of the communication history in accordance with the changed content of the phonebook.

24. A communication method comprising:

storing telephone numbers and party names, each telephone number associating with each party name;

detecting a telephone number associated with a call;

storing the detected telephone number and the party name associated with the detected telephone number; and

changing, if a first telephone number of the phonebook is changed to the second telephone number, a telephone number of the communication history associated with a party name associated with the first telephone number of the phonebook to the second telephone number.

25. A communication method comprising:

storing mail addresses and party names, each mail address associating with each party name;

detecting a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

storing the detected mail address and the party name associated with the detected mail address; and

changing, if a content of the mail address book is changed, a content of the mail history in accordance with the changed content of the mail address book.

26. A communication method comprising:

storing mail addresses and party names, each mail address associating with each party name;

detecting a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

storing the detected mail address and the party name associated with the detected mail address; and

changing, if a first mail address of the mail address book is changed to the second mail address, a mail address of the mail history associated with a party name associated with the first mail address of the mail address book to the second mail address.

27. A communication method, comprising:

storing mail addresses and party names, each mail address associated with each party name;

detecting a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

displaying the stored party name associated with the stored mail address which coincides with the detected mail address; and

changing a content of the displayed party name if the stored party name associated with the displayed party name is changed.

28. A communication method, comprising:

storing information including mail addresses and party names, each mail address associated with each party name;

detecting a mail address associated with an electronic mail;

displaying the stored information associated with the stored mail address which coincides with the detected mail address; and

changing a content of the displayed information if the stored information associated with the displayed information is changed.
