Abstract

An entertainment device for vehicles configured to incorporate various telecommunication and Internet applications and communicatively connected to a sun-visor comprising a monitor screen configured with an electronic screen protector for protecting the screen responsive for viewing contents. The device incorporates receivers and transmitters to enable cell phone and Internet transmission via the radio wave radiating towards an antenna configured with the entertainment device and operatively connected to a CPU. The signal to the CPU is controlled by the control device so that transmissions for the entertainment device, the radio, the cell phone, and the Internet are separated and output to the monitor screen and/or the speakers for the entertainment device to allow hands-free communication while driving.

Claims

1. An entertainment device comprising communication means configured to incorporate various telecommunication and Internet applications and communicatively connected to a sun-visor comprising a monitor screen configured with at least an electronic screen protector for protecting the screen responsive for viewing contents, the communication means comprising a wireless device configured with method for using in-vehicle communication control device to set a wireless electronic device to join a wireless local area network (LAN), comprising sending a setup request from the entertainment device configured with in-vehicle communication control device via at least a limited access connection, said setup request comprising a request to be compiled to the wireless LAN for receiving at the wireless device a data package for the communication control device, the data package including network information necessary for the wireless device to join the wireless LAN and utilizing the network information at the wireless device to establish a full access wireless connection to an access point of the wireless LAN, wherein said full access wireless connection is provided via at least said communication control device configured with the wireless device and communicatively connected to at least an insertion slot internal to said device, said slot communicatively connected to at least a sensor means configured with a mobile communications device comprising:

at least a modem;

computer means comprising a micro processor, at least one memory means, at least an input/output means configured with at least one input/output terminal communicatively connected at least said communication control device configured with at least a processing means;

an audio system communicatively connected to said computer means;

said communications means connected to said communication control device and configured for selectively and simultaneously transmitting and receiving analog and digital signals of varying frequencies;

cell phone means connected to one or both of said audio system and said computer means, and configured for enabling at least cell phone communication via said communications means;

wherein said communication control device provides wireless interconnectivity of said computer means and a worldwide computer network through said communications means in wireless communication with at least a local internet service provider portal to said network, at least a satellite network;

said audio system comprising at least a media device responsive to normal read-only data, and said computer means having operating software contained on one of said memory means;

at least a logic means configured with at least a software; and

means for channeling communication signal internal to said entertainment device without any external physical connection.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said communications means comprises at least one transmitter and at least one receiver each configured with at least a modem, and wherein said communication control device configured to distinguish and modulate between said analog and digital signals which are received by said receiver and transmitted by said transmitter, and further configured to separate signals normal to each of said audio system, cell phone means, and electronic data transmission normal for wireless interconnectivity of said computer means and said network.

The entertainment device of claim 1 or claim 2 wherein said communications means further comprises an antenna configured with at least a chip comprising means for transmitting and receiving signals and for amplifying signals received, and wherein said means for transmitting and receiving signals further comprises the step of sending information identifying the wireless LAN that the wireless device is requesting to be added to, and sending information identifying the type of wireless device requesting to be added to the wireless LAN.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said communication means further includes a media device comprises at least one of a CD player and CD-ROM driver, and wherein said modem comprises at least an information retrieval system interactively configured with a server computer and a client system operatively connected to a display device, wherein the client system has access to television programming normally viewed by a user of information retrieval system.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said communication means comprising means for separating signal communications and said media device comprises a CD-ROM driver configured for loading at least content of said read-only data into one said memory means of said computer means, and wherein said receiving step further comprises receiving network protocol software operable on the wireless device identified and compatible with the LAN identified.

The entertainment device of claim 5 wherein said wireless device is operatively configured with at least a transistorized switching means for enabling amplification of said communication and information signals and said CD-ROM driver further comprises at least one of said memory means, and wherein said transmitting step further comprises sending information requesting optional network services for the wireless device and said receiving step comprises receiving network information necessary to obtain the optional network services of the wireless LAN.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said audio system further comprises at least one speaker and at least one microphone, said communications device further comprising a cell phone slot operatively configured with said entertainment device and electronically connected to said computer means, said cell phone means comprising a cell phone inserted into said slot, said slot communicatively connected internal of said entertainment device, said cell phone having contacts in communication with sensors in said slot and communicatively and operatively connected through said slot to said audio system, said audio system configured with at least an audio/visual means having means for enabling communication input/output, one said means comprises at least a touch screen input/output device, at least a speaker means and at least a microphone means, and wherein said speaker means and said microphone means communicatively configured for Voice Over Internet Protocol “

VOIP.”

The entertainment device of claim 7 wherein incoming and outgoing communication via said cell phone is enabled through said communication control device configured with said computer means, wherein at least independent communication functionality of said communication means is disabled in favor of said cell phone functionality being enabled by said communication control device, and wherein said amplifying means advances said communication signal quality and sound clarity.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said communication control device further comprises a logic means operatively configured with said communication means and communicatively interfaced with at least means for enabling data processing, and said audio system further comprises at least a radio device, said audio/visual means comprises at least a display controller disposed on a sun-visor to enable at least a screen means configured with at least one of a pointer means and a cursor means, an action means, and at least a location over which the pointer means and the cursor means are capable of being positioned wherein at least an action is directly invoked over the area of the sun-visor VGA/EPG screen display.

The entertainment device of claim 9 wherein said radio device comprises means for utilizing the network information for the wireless device to establish a full access wireless connection to an access point of the wireless LAN, wherein said full access wireless connection communicatively connected to said communications means through said communication control device and said amplification means comprising signal filtration means configured with said modem responsive for enabling high speed Internet transmission to at least a communication medium.

The entertainment device of claim 9 or claim 10 wherein said transmission medium includes at least a radio wave, at least a microwave, at least an ultrasonic wave, and said radio device comprises a car stereo system configured with means for inserting an advertisement into a document displayed on at least a display device, and wherein said means for utilizing the network further comprising the acts of compiling a profile of the user of the information retrieval system at the client system, the profile comprising information corresponding to television programming viewed by at least a vehicular occupant, said means for utilizing the network further comprising a GPS receiver configured with at least an antenna for receiving satellite signals from a plurality of GPS satellites memory responsive for storing data, and wherein said data comprises at least data representative of a desired destination, and wherein the entertainment device operatively configured with a processor coupled with the GPS receiver and the memory and operable for calculating a location of the entertainment device configured with a navigation means as a function of the received satellite signals and responsive for calculating a route for said navigation means to navigate to the desired destination, said radio device further configured with a speaker means coupled to the processor for providing audio/visual communication to enable ease of navigating along the route to the desired destination.

The entertainment device of claim 10 wherein said communication means communicatively connected to at least a bypass means configured with said computer means, said computer means communicatively connected to said communication control device to selectively disables at least said radio device when said cell phone means is in operation for enabling wireless communication through the entertainment device, and said communication means further includes an input/output means coupled with the processor for enabling a user of the device to at least send/receive contents and/or enter or select the desired destination of the vehicle.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said communication means further comprising a transmitting means and a receiving means in wireless connection with at least plurality of vehicles, at least a corporation, at least a store, at least a restaurant, at least an agency, and at least a network for transmitting and receiving processed/queried data, wherein one said data includes marketing advertisement, searching the Internet for content, and/or obtaining data via at least a Department of Motor Vehicles server, and Internet communications, said communication means further comprising means for assigning new phone numbers in reference to adopting a new number dialing method, the method further comprising the steps of:

determining a current location of at least a navigation means;

receiving from a user of the navigation means an input corresponding to a desired destination;

calculating a route from the current location of the navigation means to the desired destination; and

providing audio/visual communication to the user through at least the vehicle speaker means to navigate the user from the current location to the desired destination, wherein the entertainment device comprising the navigation means and wherein the current location of the navigation means is determined by at least a GPS receiver, an antenna, and a processor operatively configured for enabling communication between said plurality of vehicles and at least a network.

The entertainment device of claim 13 wherein said communication means further comprises said GPS receiver/transmitter configured to be communicative with a plurality of highway signs having at least a communication means comprises time determination means for determining the current time and configured with at least a prioritizing module designed to assign a priority value to a received audio signal in accordance with the determined real time occurrence of at least an event.

The entertainment device of claim 13 wherein said GPS receiver/transmitter comprises a logic means configured with at least a programmable means for enabling coding/decoding vehicular communication signals, wherein at least a tag number is entered and implemented in said programmable means as a cell phone number and or code, responsive to a regular number dialing system.

The entertainment device of claim 13 wherein said communication means further comprising at least a detection means configured with said logic means, and wherein said software comprises at least an operating system and further configured with said logic means responsive for enabling communication with other said communications devices for permitting communication between vehicles, and further comprising a first demodulation unit operable to demodulate received data using information processing such as at least a designated frequency, and outputting the demodulated data operable by at least a demodulation means configured with at least an MPEG transport stream, and communicatively connected to a retrieving means operable to retrieve from the MPEG transport stream a file system operable to execute an application, said file system comprising a recording control means operable to receive a record request and to control recording according to the received record request.

The entertainment device of claim 13 wherein said computer means communicatively responsive to said advertising signals and configured with the communication means disposed on at least a highway sign means, and wherein said computer means comprising a computer usable medium configured with at least a computer readable program code means embodied therein for influencing functions of a program to enable controlling an information processing system responsive for performing transaction processing against a database and or highway, said computer readable program code means further comprising means for influencing said computer means to effect the functions of plurality devices.

The entertainment device of claim 1 wherein said operating software comprises at least a window operating system configured with at least plurality of word processor programs and/or an internet browser configured with said computer means, said computer means comprising usable medium having computer readable program code means embodied therein for causing functions of an information processing system and for performing transaction processing against a database, the computer readable program code means comprising means for enabling said computer readable program code means to influence said computer means to effect the functions of at least an entertainment in favor of at least a communication, and wherein a processor is configured to receive a data package by receiving network protocol software operable on the entertainment device identified and compatible with the LAN identified.

The entertainment device of claim 18 wherein said software program and said browser are operatively configured with at least said modem and said antenna responsive to incoming and outgoing said signals relating to said wireless interconnectivity of said computer means and said network, and wherein at least an information is received from a transmitter and provided to a vehicular occupant, the computer means comprising a display for providing visual information to the vehicular occupant, the visual information including an image and at least one active area comprising at least a one touch button for communication.

An entertainment device comprising communications means configured with at least one transmitter and at least one receiver each configured with at least a modem communicatively connected to at least a communication control device for distinguishing and modulating/demodulating analog/digital signals, said control device further operatively configured with said communication means for separating signals normal to each of at least an audio system, cell phone means, and responsive for wireless interconnectivity of at least a computer means to/from at least a communication network;

comprising;

an audio means comprising at least one speaker means and at least one microphone means;

said communications means comprising a cell phone slot configured with at least a sensor means and communicatively connected to said communication control device operatively configured with said entertainment device and electronically connected to said computer means;

said cell phone means comprising at least a cell phone inserted into said slot, said slot communicatively connected internal of said entertainment device and further comprising means for recharging said cell phone in said slot;

said cell phone further includes sensory means in communication with said sensors in said slot, and

said at least one sensor communicatively disposed in said slot and configured with said audio system;

said audio system further comprising means for enabling communication input/output, whereby one said means comprises at least speakers and/or at least a microphone;

a sun-visor comprising at least a screen means operatively configured with at least a software and communicatively connected to at least a computer means;

said screen means communicatively configured for displaying content and further comprises at least an input means;

said software comprises at least a program operatively configured with at least a browser operatively configured with at least said modem, said modem communicatively connected to at least an antenna responsive to incoming and outgoing said content relating to at least said wireless interconnectivity of said computer means and said network;

said communication means further configured with means communicatively responsive to advertising signals and communication signals from at least a corporation, an agency, and at least a highway sign configured with at least a communication means;

at least a detection means communicatively connected to a logic means operatively configured with said software responsive for enabling communication with plurality of communications devices and for permitting communication between vehicles;

at least a media means;

said media means comprises at least one of a CD player and CD-ROM driver;

said communication means comprising means for separating signal communications and communicatively connected to said media means configured with said CD ROM driver for loading content of at least a read-only data into at least a memory means of said computer means; and

a transistorized switching means comprising means for enabling amplification of said data content, said communication and information signals, said CD-ROM driver comprises one of said memory means.

21. An entertainment device of claim 20, wherein said communication means operatively connected to a computer means configured for a network capable of communicating at least a telephone conversation between a sender computing means and a receiver computing means, the computer means comprising:

at least a computer-readable media configured with computer-executable instructions for implementing a method for the sender and receiver computing means to communicate at least a context for the telephone call, wherein the method comprises;

an act of the sender computer means receiving an instruction to place at least a call to the receiver computing means;

an act of the sender computing means receiving at least a user-entered identification of a context for the telephone call;

an act of the sender computing means constructing a call invitation data structure that includes both an invitation to the receiver to engage in at least a call conversation and the user-entered identification of the context of the call;

an act of the sender computing means transmitting the call invitation data structure to be wirelessly transmitted to the receiver computing means;

an act of the receiver computing means receiving the call invitation data structure;

an act of the receiver computing means reading the identification of the context of the call from the call invitation data structure; and

an act of permitting a user to define at least at the receiver computing means plurality of rules for causing the receiver computing means automatically to take plurality of actions in response to the identification of the context of the call from the call invitation data structure; and

an act of the receiver computing means automatically taking at least one action from the plurality of actions depending on the context of the telephone call and based on at least one of the plurality of rules.

An entertainment device of claim 21, wherein the computer means responsive to at least an action taken by the receiver computing means, comprising automatically sending a message to the sender computing means and rerouting/declining calls that satisfy/do not satisfy at least an identity and identity/rules criteria.

23. An entertainment device of claim 22, wherein the control device comprising means for prompting said communication means to request for information and to receive additional information from the sender/receiver to determine the action to be taken based on at least the additional information, and whereby the control device establishes a communication session between at least the communication means and a voicemail system if an identity criteria have not been met.

24. An entertainment device of claim 23, wherein the control device comprises at least a graphical user interface and wherein the graphical user interface comprises a web interface for a call manager responsive for managing communication requests for the communication means, and wherein said graphical user interface is disposed on at least a display means.
