Abstract

A modular camera assembly includes a camera module configured to capture images. A flash module is configured to generate a flash when taking photographs with the camera module. A print media dispenser module is configured to store print media. A printer module is configured to print captured images on print media dispensed from the print media dispenser module. The modules are configured to connected together is a releasable manner interconnected together.

Claims

1. A modular camera assembly that comprises:

a camera module configured to capture images;

a flash module configured to generate a flash when capturing the images with the camera module;

a print media dispenser module configured to store and dispense print media; and

a printer module configured to print the captured images on print media dispensed from the print media dispenser module;

wherein the modules are configured to interconnected in a releasable manner.

2. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the print media dispenser module is configured to store a stack of sheets of the print media.

3. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 2, wherein the print media dispenser is configured to store a stack of sheets that are roughly the size of a business card.

4. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a battery module configured to supply power to the modular camera assembly.

5. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a memory module configured to store the captured images.

6. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a communications module that is connectable to a computational device to permit communication between the camera assembly and said computational device.

7. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising an image processing module configured to apply effects to the captured images.

8. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a laser module configured to generate a laser beam.

9. A modular camera assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a timer module configured to control operation of the camera to capture multiple images in succession at predetermined time intervals.
