1. An internal joint for use in a medical device delivery system for deploying an implantable prosthesis at a selected location inside a patient'"'"'s body, comprising:

  • an inner guide channel member having a distal first end and a proximal second end, the second end comprising an outer diameter and an outer surface;

    a securing body comprising an inner securing section and a base securing section, the inner securing section having a first end portion and a second end portion and defining a receiving cavity therebetween that is sized to receive the inner guide channel member second end outer diameter, the receiving cavity having at least one inner engaging surface disposed about and operatively coupled to the inner guide channel member second end outer surface, and the base securing section comprising a curved portion and an outer engaging surface; and

    an elongate inner compression member having a proximal end and a distal mating end, the distal mating end comprising an engaging surface and a contoured configuration complementary to the base securing section outer engaging surface, wherein the base securing section outer engaging surface and the distal mating end engaging surface are abutted, and the base securing section and distal mating end are operatively coupled.
