Abstract

A versatile scarf includes an elongated rectangular neckband portion, a large half-fan shaped flap connected to one side of the neckband portion and a small half fan-shaped flap connected to another side of the neckband portion forming draping portions, and a loop coupled between the small flap and the neckband portion. The back side of the scarf has the same configuration as the front side, which makes the scarf completely reversible. The scarf can be securely tied by pulling the large flap through the loop between the neckband portion and the small flap, without using other fastening means. Depending on how far the large flap is pulled, whether through the front or through the back of the loop, from the top or bottom of the loop, re-looping or not re-looping, and depending on which side is showing and based on the position of the scarf, numerous stylish and distinctive appearances can be achieved with the same scarf. The dimensions of the scarf can be varied to suit different purposes.

Claims

1. A scarf comprising:

a neckband portion;

a large flap portion connected to an end of said neckband portion;

a small flap portion connected to another end of said neckband portion; and

a loop portion coupled between said neckband portion and said small flap portion.

2. The scarf of claim 1, wherein a back side of the scarf has a similar configuration as a front side of the scarf, allowing the scarf to be reversible.

3. The scarf of claim 1, wherein said neckband portion is rectangular in shape.

4. The scarf of claim 1, wherein said large flap portion and said small flap portion are half-fan shaped.

5. The scarf of claim 1, wherein said loop portion securely fastens the scarf to a user while maintaining a particularly formed shape of the scarf.

6. The scarf of claim 1, wherein said loop portion fastens the scarf by securing said large flap portion after said large flap portion is pulled through said loop portion.

7. The scarf of claim 1, wherein said loop portion is attached to the scarf between said small flap portion and said neckband portion.

8. The scarf of claim 7, wherein said loop portion is sewn to the scarf and said loop portion tightens said small flap portion to form a shape of a fan.

9. The scarf of claim 1, wherein the scarf adjustably fastens around different parts of a user'"'"'s body by adjusting an amount of said large flap portion pulled through said loop portion.

10. A scarf comprising:

an elongated neckband portion;

a large fan-shaped flap portion connected to an end of said elongated neckband portion;

a small fan-shaped flap portion connected to another end of said elongated neckband portion; and

a tubular loop portion attached at said another end of said elongated neckband portion,

wherein said tubular loop portion separates said small fan-shaped flap portion from said elongated neckband portion.

11. The scarf of claim 10, wherein said tubular loop portion securely fastens the scarf to a user by frictionally holding the scarf in a position as tied by a user.

12. The scarf of claim 10, wherein said tubular loop portion fastens the scarf by securing said large fan-shaped flap portion or said elongated neckband portion after said large fan-shaped flap portion is pulled through said elongated loop portion.

13. The scarf of claim 10, wherein said tubular loop portion is sewn to said elongated neckband portion and said tubular loop portion cinches said small fan-shaped flap portion to form a shape of a fan.

14. The scarf of claim 10, wherein the scarf adjustably fastens around different parts of a user'"'"'s body by adjusting an amount of said large fan-shaped flap portion pulled through said tubular loop portion.
