Apparatus for measuring voltage of a voltage source
First Claim
1. An apparatus for measuring voltage of a voltage source, the apparatus comprising:
- a substrate;
a plurality of temperature responsive displays printed on the substrate;
a plurality of heat generating elements printed on the substrate, each heat generating element being thermally coupled to at least one of the temperature responsive displays;
a reference voltage circuit coupled to the substrate and operative to produce a reference voltage;
a voltage divider network coupled to the substrate and including a plurality of surface mounted resistors electrically connected in series and operative to produce a plurality of voltages; and
a plurality of comparator circuits embodied in a surface mounted device, each comparator circuit operative to;
receive the reference voltage and a respective voltage of the plurality of voltages produced by the voltage divider network; and
selectively allow current to flow through at least one of the heat generating elements when the respective voltage supplied by the voltage divider network exceeds the reference voltage.

An apparatus is delineated for measuring voltage of a voltage source. An embodiment of the apparatus may comprise a substrate; a plurality of temperature responsive displays printed on the substrate; a plurality of heat generating elements printed on the substrate, each heat generating element being thermally coupled to at least one of the temperature responsive displays; a reference voltage circuit coupled to the substrate and operative to produce a reference voltage; a voltage divider network coupled to the substrate and including a plurality of surface mounted resistors electrically connected in series and operative to produce a plurality of voltages; and a plurality of comparator circuits embodied in a surface mounted device, each comparator circuit operative to receive the reference voltage and a respective voltage of the plurality of voltages produced by the voltage divider network, and selectively allow current to flow through at least one of the heat generating elements when the respective voltage supplied by the voltage divider network exceeds the reference voltage.

a plurality of heat generating elements coupled to the substrate, each heat generating element including a positive temperature coefficient ink and being thermally coupled to at least one of the temperature responsive displays;
a reference voltage circuit coupled to the substrate and operative to produce a reference voltage;
a voltage divider network coupled to the substrate and operative to produce a plurality of voltages; and
a plurality of comparator circuits coupled to the substrate, each comparator circuit operative to;
receive the reference voltage and a respective voltage of the plurality of voltages produced by the voltage divider network; and
selectively allow current to flow through at least one of the heat generating elements when the respective voltage supplied by the voltage divider network exceeds the reference voltage.

a switch operative to selectively complete a circuit to permit measuring the voltage of the voltage source; and
a plurality of comparator circuits coupled to the substrate, each comparator circuit operative to;
receive the reference voltage and a respective voltage of the plurality of voltages produced by the voltage divider network; and
selectively allow current to flow through at least one of the heat generating elements when the respective voltage supplied by the voltage divider network exceeds the reference voltage.
