1. A medication-delivery method comprising:

  • inserting a portion of an infusion device into a living being, the infusion device comprising;

    a body having a body passageway and an outer perimeter;

    a cannula having a portion extending from the body, including the portion that is inserted into the living being, the cannula being positioned such that any portion of the cannula that is above the living being'"'"'s skin is positioned within the outer perimeter of the body; and

    a septum positioned in the body passageway, the septum having an outer wall that includes a portion that tapers in a downstream direction;

    inserting an injection needle through the septum, the injection needle having a length and being straight along the length; and

    delivering medication to the living being through the injection needle.
