1. A patient monitor comprising:
- a plurality of sensors adapted to attach to tissue sites of a living subject so as to generate a plurality of sensor signals each responsive to at least two wavelengths of optical radiation after attenuation by pulsatile blood within the tissue sites;
a plurality of data channels derived from corresponding ones of the sensor signals;
a plurality of quality parameters associated with corresponding ones of the data channels; and
a processor configured to operate on the data channels according to the quality parameters so as to provide at least one of an oxygen status parameter and a plethysmograph parameter for the living subject.

Abstract
A patient monitor has multiple sensors adapted to attach to tissue sites of a living subject. The sensors generate sensor signals that are responsive to at least two wavelengths of optical radiation after attenuation by pulsatile blood within the tissue sites. Multiple data channels and associated quality parameters are derived from the sensor signals. A processor is configured to operate on the channels according to the quality parameters so as to provide a robust oxygen status measurement.
