1. A computer method of assisting a user in the design of a multiple-component medical device, the method comprising:
- providing at least two stencils corresponding to at least two components, said stencils configured to be positioned in relation to each other on a computer screen;
associating properties of the at least two components with the stencils to allow the properties to be displayed when a user clicks on the stencils, said properties including at least one of the following;
where the component comes from, the component'"'"'s price, the dimensions of the component, and the component'"'"'s compatibility with other parts;
allowing the user to save data relating to a design of a multiple component device on a computer storage device; and
generating a bond between stencils.
