Abstract

An art of a driving device for appropriately improving a response of an SMA actuator will be provided. A portable telephone 1 has an image stabilization system 10 for driving an image pickup unit 9 by a pair of driving members 15a and 15b functioning as actuators, thereby performing image stabilization. Driving members 15a and 15b are formed as a wire of shape memory alloy (SMA) and when a voltage is applied to both ends and a current is supplied, driving force is generated in the contraction direction. With respect to the wire diameter of the SMAs, the wire diameter of the SMAs is set between 10 μm and 80 μm, thus the mountability and response are improved appropriately.

Claims

1. A driving device including a moving part, comprising:

an actuator which, for driving the moving part, includes a first member and a second member which are expandable and contractable and mounted on the moving part in a push-pull position, the first member being a shape memory alloy wire having a diameter of no less than 10 μ

m and no more than 80 μ

m;

a measurement section which obtains a measurement value related to the driving of the moving part; and

a control section which controls the driving of the moving part by electrifying the shape memory alloy wire on the basis of a deviation concerning a driving target value related to the moving part and the measurement value.

2. The driving device of claim 1, wherein the second member is a shape memory alloy wire having a diameter of no less than 10 μ

m and no more than 80 μ

m.

3. The driving device of claim 1, wherein the shape memory alloy wire has a diameter of no less than 15 μ

m and no more than 40 μ

m.

5. The driving device of claim 1, wherein the second member is a shape memory alloy wire having a cross-sectional area of no less than 80 μ

m² and no more than 5030 μ

m².

7. The driving device of claim 1, wherein, when driving the moving part, the moving part is rotated about a predetermined axis by the actuator.

9. The driving device of claim 1, wherein, when driving the moving part, the moving part is rotated about a predetermined fulcrum by the actuator.

11. The driving device of claim 1, wherein the shape memory alloy wire includes titanium, nickel and copper.

13. The driving device of claim 1, the measurement value includes position information which indicates a position of the moving part.

15. An image stabilizing system having the driving device of claim 1, comprising:

an imaging section which includes the moving part and images a photographic subject; and

a correction section which corrects image shaking related to the imaging section by driving the moving part by controlling the actuator.

17. The driving device of claim 1, wherein the control section applies a bias voltage and a driving signal superimposed on the bias voltage to the shape memory alloy to drive the driving device.

4. A driving device including a moving part, comprising:

an actuator which, for driving the moving part, includes a first member and a second member which are expandable and contractable and mounted on the moving part in a push-pull position, the first member being a shape memory alloy wire having a cross-sectional area of no less than 80 μ

m² and no more than 5030 μ

m²;

a measurement section which obtains a measurement value related to the driving of the moving part; and

a control section which controls the driving of the moving part by electrifying the shape memory alloy wire on the basis of a deviation concerning a driving target value related to the moving part and the measurement value.

6. The driving device of claim 4, wherein the second member is a shape memory alloy wire having a cross-sectional area of no less than 180 μ

m² and no more than 1260 m².

8. The driving device of claim 4, wherein, when driving the moving part, the moving part is rotated about a predetermined axis by the actuator.

10. The driving device of claim 4, wherein, when driving the moving part, the moving part is rotated about a predetermined fulcrum by the actuator.

12. The driving device of claim 4, wherein the shape memory alloy wire includes titanium, nickel and copper.

14. The driving device of claim 4, the measurement value includes position information which indicates a position of the moving part.

16. An image stabilizing system having the driving device of claim 4, comprising:

an imaging section which includes the moving part and images a photographic subject; and

a correction section which corrects image shaking related to the imaging section by driving the moving part by controlling the actuator.

18. The driving device of claim 4, wherein the control section applies a bias voltage and a driving signal superimposed on the bias voltage to the shape memory alloy to drive the driving device.
