A method of conditioning a support comprising continuously providing a support, applying an interleaving material to at least one side of said support, wherein said interleaving material produces a continuous gap between the opposite side of said support having applied interleaving material and the side of said support having applied interleaving material when said support is wound, and conditioning said support.
