1. The Physician To Patient (P2P) network system, a private &

  • secure network system for independently practicing physicians and patients for real-time electronic communication and transfer of patient health information including clinical data. The system also provides a private &

    secure infrastructure for real-time collaboration, electronic communication, exchange of patient health information and any other healthcare related information among independently practicing physicians, patients, and other Healthcare User Groups defined by the invention. The P2P Network system includes;

    a) one or more EWD devices to allow the physicians, or any other authorized users to write, store, display and print patient health information, or any other type of HC information. The EWDDs are connected to the P2P Network by any type of wired or wireless connections;

    b) at least one MOIS in each medical office for storage of patient related data &

    information, and medical office business and other data and information;

    c) at least one MOPM in each medical office for processing &

    management of patient related data &

    information, and medical office business and other data and information;

    d) at least one MSPM for processing &

    management of data and information related to P2P services provided to the network members;

    e) at least one CPIS to store patient health information that can be utilized by independently practicing physicians, HC product and service providers, and other authorized P2P members;

    f) at least one OIS to store any other data and information needed to provide HC services to P2P members;

    g) at least one MAC to receive all user requests for healthcare and other data/information, and to check the validity of the requesting users;

    h) at least one SDTC to control the flow of data traffic to/from the OIS and CPIS in response to member/system requests authorized by MAC;

    i) provision for the physicians &

    authorized medical office staff, patients, and any other authorized users to access the P2P Network from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    j) provision for the physicians &

    authorized medical office staff, patients, and any other authorized users to create, view and Print the authorized parts of the patient related information stored within the network from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    k) provision for the physicians, research scientists, lab technicians and any other authorized users to access the network to conduct research, and prepare, store, view and print research reports from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    l) means for the patients to have the ability to schedule one or more appointments with the physician, or any other authorized medical staff member from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    m) means for the patients to have the ability to fill-out the Patient Registration Forms, HIPAA forms, Medical History Forms, or any other forms from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    n) means for the patients to have the ability to view, print and pay their medical bills from anywhere in the world at anytime using the P2P Network system;

    o) means for the patients to have the ability to view and print their own health related information stored within the network from anywhere in the world at anytime;

    p) one or more Intelligent Electronic Superbills, and one or more Intelligent Patient Registration Forms;

    q) provision for the physicians, medical staff or any other authorized P2P members to perform Tele-Work from anywhere in the world at any time;

    r) means for the creation of Electronic Patient Sign-In Sheet in medical office;

    s) means for automated Exam Room Scheduling in a medical office;

    t) means for automated verification of Patient Insurance Policies, automated Electronic Insurance Claims Submission, Direct Insurance Claims Submission to insurance companies'"'"' computers, and automated Insurance Payment Posting in medical office MOIS;

    u) means for Check-Out Time Patient Billing, and automated Electronic Patient Billing;

    v) provision for automated transfer of Secure Electronic Messages among physicians and patients;

    x) provision for automated transfer, and On-Request transfer of EMRs, Electronic Referrals, Electronic Prescriptions and related patient information among physicians and other HC service providers;

    y) Provision for the storage of Electronic Reference Books in EWDD, MOIS and OIS that can be accessed by physicians and all other P2P members;

    z) Provision for the conversion of paper medical records to EMRs;

    aa) Means for the physicians to Tele-examine patients in their homes or any other location;

    bb) Means for Tele-Diagnosis to be performed by Physicians;

    cc) Means for the physicians and other HC service providers to conduct video-conferencing;

    dd) Means for Tele-Research to be conducted by Scientists;

    ee) Means for the patients to purchase HC Products through P2P network;

    ff) Means to create P2P Q-Rating System to monitor the quality of healthcare services to patients.
