Tire air pressure receiving apparatus and tire air pressure monitoring system using the same
First Claim
1. A tire air pressure receiving apparatus which is mounted at a first member of a vehicle and receives information from tire air pressure sending units which are respectively attached to wheels of a second member of the vehicle, the information containing tire air pressure information of the wheel and identification information of the tire air pressure sending unit attached to the wheel, the tire air pressure receiving apparatus comprising:
- a wheel identification information acquiring unit for acquiring wheel identification information of the wheels from a presentation unit, which is mounted at the second member to offer the wheel identification information of the wheels of the second member, the wheel identification information of the wheel corresponding with the identification information of the tire air pressure sending unit which is attached to the wheel of the second member;
a storage unit for memorizing the wheel identification information; and
a control unit which obtains the wheel identification information of the wheels via the wheel identification information acquiring unit, and records the obtained wheel identification information in the storage unit, wherein the tire air pressure information which is received along with the identification information of the tire air pressure sending unit is processed as tire air pressure information related to the own vehicle, when the identification information of the tire air pressure sending unit corresponds with the wheel identification information in the storage unit.

Abstract
A tire air pressure monitoring system is provided with a tire air pressure receiving apparatus, which has an ID reader attached to a rear portion of a tractor head of a vehicle. The ID reader requires by radio a transponder of the tire air pressure monitoring system to send wheel identification information of wheels of a trailer of the vehicle, at startup of the vehicle. The transponder is mounted at the trailer and faces the ID reader. Based on the requirement of the ID reader, the transponder sends by radio the beforehand-memorized wheel identification information of the wheels of the trailer.
