Abstract

A light source apparatus and display apparatus are provided. The light source apparatus includes light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than two kinds of colors and one light-emitting device group composed of the light-emitting devices located close to each other, wherein each of the light-emitting device group includes a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than one kind of color of more than two kinds of colors, a plurality of light-emitting devices being disposed such that central positions of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of respective colors are substantially matched with each other.

Claims

1. A light source apparatus comprising:

a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than two kinds of colors; and

a light-emitting device group composed of said light-emitting devices located close to each other, wherein the light-emitting device group includes a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than one kind of color of said more than two kinds of colors, said plurality of light-emitting devices being disposed such that central positions of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of respective colors are substantially matched with each other.

2. A light source apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said light source apparatus includes a plurality of said light-emitting device groups.

3. A light source apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes a member provided at said central position to reflect or refract light emitted from the light-emitting device so that the radiated direction of said emitted light is changed.

4. A light source apparatus according to claim 3, wherein each said light-emitting device group does not have said light-emitting device disposed at said central position.

5. A light source apparatus according to claim 3, wherein each of said light-emitting device group includes said light-emitting devices disposed from said central position at an equal distance.

6. A light source apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said light-emitting device is a light-emitting diode.

7. A light source apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes at least a light-emitting device for emitting red light, a light-emitting device for emitting green light and a light-emitting device for emitting blue light.

8. A light source apparatus according to claim 7, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting green lights.

9. A light source apparatus according to claim 7, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting red lights and a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting green lights.

A light source apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes said light-emitting devices for emitting lights of said more than two colors in which a light-emitting device for emitting light of one color has an area wider than those of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of other colors.

11. A light source apparatus according to claim 7, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes a light-emitting device for emitting green light and of which area is larger than those of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of other colors.

12. A light source apparatus according to claim 7, wherein each said light-emitting device group includes a light-emitting device for emitting green light and a light-emitting device for emitting red light and of which areas are larger than that of a light-emitting device for emitting blue light.

13. A display apparatus comprising:

a display portion; and

a light source apparatus for illuminating said display portion from a back side, wherein said light source apparatus includes light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than two kinds of colors and a light-emitting device group composed of said light-emitting devices located close to each other, wherein the light-emitting device group includes a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of at least more than one kind of color of said more than two kinds of colors, said plurality of light-emitting devices being disposed such that central positions of light-emitting devices for emitting lights of respective colors are substantially matched with each other.

14. A display apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said display portion is a color liquid-crystal display panel.
