Abstract
A multi-function peripheral (MFP) with a function of adding user identification information and a method thereof are provided for increasing security of documents. The MFP comprises a scanning unit for generating image data by scanning a document upon request of scanning, a metadata generator for receiving user identification information regarding a user who has requested scanning and generating metadata, and a controller for adding the metadata to the image data and converting the data into digital data.
