the balloon includes a longitudinally extending body having a first end and second end, the first end and the second end respectively including mating profiles which align to create a generally continuous surface along an inner surface of the gastric band as the inner surface transitions between the first and second ends of the balloon.

The balloon includes a longitudinally extending body having a first end and a second end, the first end and the second end respectively including mating profiles which align to create generally continuous surfaces along an outer surface of the gastric band and an inner surface of the gastric band as the outer surface and the inner surface transition between the first and second ends of the balloon.
