Abstract

The present invention discloses a home network system using a living network control protocol. The home network system includes: at least one electric device; first and second networks based on a predetermined living network control protocol (LnCP); an LnCP access device connected to the electric device through the second network; and a network manager connected to the LnCP access device through the first network, for controlling and monitoring the electric device.

Claims

1. A home network system, comprising:

at least one electric device;

first and second networks based on a predetermined living network control protocol (LnCP);

an LnCP access device connected to the electric device through the second network; and

a network manager connected to the LnCP access device through the first network, for controlling and monitoring the electric device.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the first network and the second network are networks including different transmission media.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the first network is a network using a dependent transmission medium

4. The system of claim 3, wherein the dependent transmission medium is a power line.

5. The system of claim 3, wherein the dependent transmission medium is wireless.

6. The system of any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the LnCP access device further comprises a home code control sub-layer for managing a home code for network security, and communicates with the first network.

7. The system of claim 2, wherein the first network and the second network are networks using different dependent transmission media.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein the LnCP access device further comprises a plurality of home code control sub-layers for managing home codes for network security, and communicates with the first network and the second network.

9. The system of claim 6, wherein the home code control sub-layers correspond to the dependent transmission media, respectively.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the home codes of the home code control sub-layers have different values.

11. An access device based on a living network control protocol, which uses a protocol comprising:

an upper layer;

a first physical layer for accessing a first network connected to at least one network manager, and

a second physical layer for accessing a second network connected to at least one electric device.

12. The access device of claim 11, wherein the first physical layer and the second physical layer are connected to the first and second networks including different transmission media.

13. The access device of claim 12, wherein the first physical layer is connected to the first network using a dependent transmission medium.

14. The access device of claim 13, wherein the dependent transmission medium is a power line.

15. The access device of claim 13, wherein the dependent transmission medium is wireless.

16. The access device of any one of claims 11 to 15, wherein the upper layer further comprises a home code control sub-layer for managing a home code for network security, and is connected to the first network.

17. The access device of claim 12, wherein the first physical layer and the second physical layer are connected to the first and second networks using different dependent transmission media.

18. The access device of claim 17, wherein the upper layer further comprises a plurality of home code control sub-layers for managing home codes for network security, and is connected to the first network and the second network.

19. The access device of claim 16, wherein the home code control sub-layers correspond to the first physical layer and the second physical layer, respectively.

20. The access device of claim 19, wherein the home codes of the home code control sub-layers have different values.
