First Claim
1. An air based position finding, signal monitor, control, emergency and multimode communication system comprising:
- a receiver having multiple inputs for reception and demodulation of position finder signals to position finder baseband signals;
one or more cameras or microphones or data signal generation devices, storage devices, and a first processor for recording or storing and processing of signals obtained from one or more cameras or microphones or data signal generation devices;
a second processor for processing input signals and for providing cross-correlated shaped in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals;
a third processor for receiving input signals and for providing filtered baseband signals;
a fourth processor for processing the first processor processed signals jointly with cross-correlated signals or jointly with filtered signals or jointly with both cross-correlated signals and spread spectrum signals;
a control unit for control and selection of one of the jointly processed signals;
a selector for providing the selected signal to a modulator;
a signal modulator for modulating the selected signal and for connecting the modulated signal to a signal transmitter for signal transmission;
a communication receiver for reception, demodulation and processing of the modulated transmitted signal;
a demodulator for demodulation and receiver processing of the modulated transmitted signal; and
a receiver processor for providing the demodulated and receiver processed signal to an emergency unit or to one or more subscriber units or to both emergency and subscriber units.

An air based position finding, signal monitor, control and emergency multimode communication system for use in one or more units located in or on airplanes, or helicopters, or unmanned vehicles (UV) or balloons or rockets, or missiles, or space shuttles or birds or other air based items with a multimode bit rate agile (BRA) and modulation demodulation (modem) format selectable (MFS) signal modulator.

a receiver and demodulator for reception of modulated position finder radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by a Global Positioning System (GPS) transmitter and demodulation to GPS baseband signals;
a receiver and demodulator for reception of modulated position finder radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by other than a GPS transmitter to other than GPS baseband signals;
one or more cameras or microphones, or data signal generators, storage devices and a first processor for recording, signal monitoring, storing, and processing of one or more camera or sound or data processed signals;
a second processor for processing one or both said baseband signals with the first processor processed signals;
a control unit for control and selection of the first processor or the second processor or both first and second processor processed signals;
a selector for providing the selected signals to a modulator;
a signal modulator for modulating the selected signal and for connecting the modulated signal to a signal transmitter for signal transmission; and

a receiver and demodulator for reception of position finder signals transmitted by a position finder transmitter and demodulation to position finder baseband signals;
one or more cameras or microphones or data signal generators, or sensors a storage devices and a first processor for recording, signal monitoring, storing, and processing of one or more camera or sound or sensor or data processed signals;
a second processor for processing said position finder baseband signals with the first processor processed signals;
a control unit for control and selection of the first processor or the second processor or both first and second processor processed signals;
a selector for providing the selected signals to a modulator;
a multimode bit rate agile (BRA) and modulation demodulation (modem) format selectable (MFS) signal modulator for modulating the selected signal and for connecting the modulated signal to a signal transmitter for signal transmission; and
