Abstract

An image commercial transactions system and method, an image transfer system and method, an image distribution system and method, and a display device and method are disclosed. A reception dealer accepts the transfer of an image recorded on a recording medium in a predetermined format with a handling condition intrinsic to the image, and transfers the image with the handling condition, and an advertisement, in digital data format, and a charge accounting dealer effects an electronic charge accounting transaction for the transfer of data of the image with the handling condition and the advertisement. Accordingly, a forwarding request user is helpful in making public the advertisement by having the data of the advertisement along with the data of the image forwarded, instead of the reception dealer, whereby a transfer fee for the data of image can be made lower. Consequently, it is possible to enhance the usability for the transfer significantly.

Claims

1. A photographic picture displaying method comprising the steps of:

storing photographic image data from a computer to a storage device in a portable music player; and

displaying the photogaphic image data on a display of the portable music player,

wherein the displayed photographic image data is index data indicating a plurality of photographic pictures.

2. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, further comprising the steps of:

storing music content data from the computer to the storage device in the portable music player; and

reproducing the stored music content data while the photographic image data is displayed.

3. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, further includes a step of downloading and storing the photographic image data in the computer.

4. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, further comprising the steps of:

storing moving picture content data from the computer to the storage device in the portable music player; and

reproducing the stored moving picture content data on the display.

5. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, further includes a step of downloading and storing the plurality of photographic pictures in the computer.

6. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 5, wherein the plurality of photographic pictures are produced by a digital still camera, a scanner or a video camera.

7. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, wherein the storage device is a disk memory.

8. The photographic picture displaying method according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of photographic pictures are stored in the storage device in a high definition television (HDTV) aspect ratio.

9. A portable music player comprising:

a storage and reprodution device for storing music data in a memory and reproducing the stored music data;

wherein the music data includes music content data and corresponding music picture data; and

a display device for displaying the music picture data,

wherein the storage and reprodution device further stores photographic picture data in a high definition television (HDTV) aspect ratio and the display device displays the stored photographic picture data in the HDTV aspect ratio.

10. A portable music player according to claim 9, wherein the photographic picture data may be stored and displayed in other aspect ratios.

11. A portable music player according to claim 9, wherein the HDTV aspect ratio is 9:

12. A portable music player comprising:

a storage and reprodution device for storing music data in a memory and reproducing the stored music data;

wherein the music data includes music content data and corresponding music picture data; and

a display device for displaying the music picture data, wherein the storage and reprodution device further stores photographic pictures and the display device displays index data indicating the photographic pictures.

13. The portable music player according to claim 12, wherein the photographic pictures are stored and displayed in a high definition television (HDTV) aspect ratio.

15. The portable music player according to claim 13, wherein the photographic pictures may be stored and displayed in other aspect ratios.

16. A music and photographic picture reproducing method comprising the steps of:

downloading and storing music data and corresponding photographic picture data in a computer;

displaying a program table indicating the stored music data;

selecting music data from the program table for storing on a portable music player;

storing the selected music data and corresponding photographic picture data from the computer to the portable music player;

reproducing the music data stored in the portable music player; and

displaying the corresponding photographic picture data on the portable music player.

17. The music and photographic picture reproducing method according to claim 16, wherein the photographic picture data is stored and displayed in a high definition television (HDTV) aspect ratio.
