Abstract

Disclosed is a method for generating a frame in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access communication system. The method includes generating a frame having a global information zone and a local information zone, wherein the global information zone includes information that is necessary to be received commonly in all of user terminals; and the local information zone includes user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service traffic that is unnecessary to be received commonly in all of the user terminals.

Claims

1. A method for generating a frame in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) communication system, comprising:

generating a frame including a global information zone and a local information zone,

wherein the global information zone includes information that is necessary to be received commonly in all of user terminals; and

the local information zone includes user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service traffic that is unnecessary to be received commonly in all of user terminals.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the global information zone comprises:

a preamble for training;

a system information zone including base station information; and

a common information zone including resource allocation information and broadcast control information.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the system information zone comprises a management message type, PHY synchronization information, channel information, and base station Identifier (ID).

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the common information zone comprises MAP information elements for user terminal-by-user terminal/service-by-service traffic of the local information zone.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the common information zone comprises a Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) for broadcasting control information necessary to access a base station from a user terminal.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the local information zone is configured by traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the global information zone.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein each traffic chunk comprises:

a user data field; and

a local MAP for specifying characteristics of data to be transmitted through the user data field.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the local MAP, comprises Link Adaptation (LA) information for the data.

9. The method of claim 4, wherein the local information zone comprises:

traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the global information zone; and

at least one Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) traffic chunk for broadcasting control information necessary to access a base station from a user terminal.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein each traffic chunk comprises:

a user data field; and

a local MAP for specifying characteristics of data to be transmitted through the user data field.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the local MAP comprises Link Adaptation (LA) information for the data.

12. The method of claim 2, wherein the common information zone comprises a Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) for broadcasting control information necessary to access a base station from a user terminal.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the local information zone is configured by traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the global information zone.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein each traffic chunk comprises:

a user data field; and

a local MAP for specifying characteristics of data to be transmitted through the user data field.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the local MAP comprises:

MAP Information Elements (IEs) for defining the traffic data field; and

Link Adaptation (LA) information for the data.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the common information zone comprises information about a scheme for receiving the local information zone.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the scheme for receiving the local information zone is a blind detection scheme.

18. The method of claim 1, wherein the global information zone comprises:

a preamble for training; and

a system information zone including base station information subsequent to the preamble.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the system information zone comprises a management message type, PHY synchronization information, channel information, and base station Identifier (ID).

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the local information zone comprises:

traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the global information zone; and

at least one Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) traffic chunk for broadcasting control information necessary to access a base station from a user terminal.

21. The method of claim 20, wherein each traffic chunk comprises:

a user data field; and

a local MAP for specifying characteristics of data to be transmitted through the user data field.

22. The method of claim 21, wherein the local MAP comprises Link Adaptation (LA) information for the data.

23. The method of claim 22, wherein the global information zone comprises information about a scheme for receiving the local information zone.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein the scheme for receiving the local information zone is a blind detection scheme.

25. The method of claim 3, wherein the local information zone comprises at least one blind detection zone.

26. The method of claim 25, wherein the at least one blind detection zone is configured by traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the common information zone.

27. The method of claim 26, wherein each traffic chunk comprises:

a user data field; and

a local MAP for specifying characteristics of data to be transmitted through the user data field.

28. The method of claim 27, wherein the local MAP comprises Link Adaptation (LA) information for the data.

29. The method of claim 28, wherein the common information zone comprises:

the at least one blind detection zone; and

MAP information about traffic chunks configuring the at least one blind detection zone.

30. The method of claim 3, wherein the local information zone comprises:

traffic chunks allocated on a user terminal-by-user terminal or service-by-service basis according to the control information included in the common information zone; and

local MAPs for specifying data characteristics of the traffic chunks.

31. The method of claim 30, wherein the local MAPs mapped to the traffic chunks are placed in a head part of the local information zone in the same form as the traffic chunks are arranged.

32. The method of claim 31, wherein a traffic chunk mapped to each local MAP comprises Link Adaptation (LA) information.
