Abstract

Improved mobile content presentation capabilities are disclosed for mobile communications facilities, such as cell phones. Information relating to the user transaction history associated with a mobile communication facility and other capabilities are employed to improve the presentation and relevance of mobile content to appropriate or desirable mobile communication facilities.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

receiving a search request from a mobile communication facility;

receiving information relating to a user'"'"'s transaction history associated with the mobile communication facility; and

presenting search results prioritized according to relevancy, wherein the relevancy is at least in part based on the information relating to the transaction history.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the search request is made using a query entry facility of the mobile communication facility.

3. The method of claim 2 wherein the query entry facility is adapted to receive an explicit query request from a user of the mobile communication facility.

4. The method of claim 3 wherein the explicit query request is based at least in part on a text query entry.

5. The method of claim 3 wherein the explicit query request is based at least in part on a voice recognition query entry.

6. The method of claim 2 wherein the query entry facility receives an implicit query request.

7. The method of claim 6 wherein the implicit query request is based at least in part on time of day.

8. The method of claim 6 wherein the implicit query request is based at least in part on location.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the information relating to the user transaction history is a previous transaction.

11. The method of claim 10 wherein the previous transaction is an online purchase.

12. The method of claim 10 wherein the previous transaction is an online subscription.

15. The method of claim 1 wherein the information relating to the user transaction history is a content download history.

16. The method of claim 1 wherein the information relating to the user transaction history is a purchase history.

17. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history includes a purchase price.

18. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history includes a purchase time.

19. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history includes a total number of purchases made during a specific time interval.

20. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history includes a total amount spent during a specific time interval.

21. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history includes a product number for a purchased item.

22. The method of claim 16 wherein the purchase history is categorized into a yellow pages-type taxonomy.

23. The method of claim 1 wherein the information relating to the user transaction history is one or more clickthrough summaries.

24. The method of claim 1 wherein the information relating to the user transaction history is one or more page view summaries.

57. The method of claim 1 wherein the mobile communication facility is a phone.

58. The method of claim 1 wherein the mobile communication facility is a cellular phone.

59. The method of claim 1 wherein the mobile communication facility is a mobile phone.

a presentation facility adapted to present search results prioritized according to relevancy, wherein the relevancy is at least in part based on the information relating to the transaction history.
