Signal processor, method of signal processing and computer program
First Claim
1. A signal processor comprising:
- a conversion unit sampling an analog signal expressing a measured value of a physical quantity at a frequency, and digitizing it;
a comparison unit comparing the measured value of the physical quantity digitized by said conversion unit with a reference value of the physical quantity; and
an announcement unit announcing information based on the result of comparison obtained from said comparison unit, wherein said comparison unit compares the measured value of the physical quantity digitized by said conversion unit with said reference value of the physical quantity, every time the sampling is executed by said conversion unit.

Abstract
A CPU generates the reference value (root mean squared value) of sound level and outputs it to a DSP, the DSP generates a measured value of sound level (root mean squared value), and compares thus-generated measured value of sound level (root mean squared value) with the reference value (root mean squared value) of sound level received from the CPU, and outputs a signal expressing the result of comparison to a display device, to thereby enable comparison of the measured value of sound level (root mean squared value) with the reference value (root mean squared value) of sound level, every time the sampling takes place in synchronization with the sampling frequency in the A/D converter.
