1. A computerized medical information system, comprising:

  • a medical information resource including a plurality of documents, each of the plurality of documents relating to providing medical care for a patient;

    a document searching index including information for each of the plurality of documents and used for searching and identifying documents that are relevant to a search query, the information for each of the documents including document words located in a plurality of document sections including title, headings, keywords, text and document type;

    a search engine that receives a search query from a user and generates a set of search terms from the search query, the search engine using the set of search terms and the document searching index to identify documents that relate to the search query, the set of search terms including at least one term;

    a search results module that provides a display of search results to the user based on documents identified by the search engine, wherein the search results module ranks documents in the display of search results based on at least one document section in which the search engine identified at least one term from the set of search terms.
