Abstract

A portable terminal, which has mail function, allows a user to input a destination address of mail by selecting the address from the address list with easy operation by displaying all of information for input operation of the destination address with other information for mail creation such as subject and message of the mail.

Claims

1. A portable terminal including a mail transmission function, comprising:

display means;

storage means for storing an address list containing a plurality of mail addresses;

operation means for receiving keys from a user of the portable terminal to search and enter destination address; and

control means for searching an address for destination of the mail from the address list responding to the keys to search from the operation means, and controlling the display means to display information of mail creation including a subject, a message of the mail, and the searched address, and wherein;

the control means controls the display means to display the searched address based on a result of the searching simultaneously displaying with the subject and the message of the mail.

2. The portable terminal according to claim 1, wherein

the control means selects an address for destination of the mail from the address list sequentially in a predetermined rotation responding to the keys to search from the operation means.

The portable terminal according to claim 1, wherein the storage means stores a plurality of address lists and names of the address lists, the operation means receives keys to select an address list from the address lists stored by the storage means, selects an address list from the address lists stored by the storage means responding to the keys to select an address list from the operation means, searches an address for a destination of the mail from the selected address list responding to the keys to search from the operation means and controls the display means to display the name of the selected address list based on a result of the selection or the searched address based on a result of the searching simultaneously displaying with the subject and the message of the mail.

4. The portable terminal according to claim 3, wherein

the control means selects an address list sequentially in a predetermined rotation from the address lists stored by the storage means responding to the keys to select address list.

The portable terminal according to claim 3, wherein a plurality of the address lists includes at least an address book, an address list extracted from sent mail history, an address list extracted from received mail history and an address list of group address for sending a mail to a plurality of destination addresses.
