Abstract

A mobile communication terminal and a method of link management are discussed. According to an embodiment, the terminal includes a display unit for indicating a message including at least one specific data; a link manager for setting a link to the at least one specific data included in the message, and assigning a sign to each specific data; and a transmitter for sending the message including the sign(s) assigned by the link manager.

Claims

1. A mobile communication terminal comprising:

a display unit for indicating a message including at least one specific data;

a link manager for setting a link to the at least one specific data included in the message, and assigning a sign to each specific data; and

a transmitter for sending the message including the sign(s) assigned by the link manager.

2. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the specific data comprises at least one of a name, a telephone number, an e-mail address, and an Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

3. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sign comprises at least one of a character, a number, and a combination of the character and the number.

4. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein a location of the sign in the message is selected by a user.

5. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the message is a Short Message Service (SMS) message, a Multimedia Message Service (MMS) message, or an Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) message.

6. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the message comprises a document.

7. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:

an input unit for setting a link or entering the sign to be assigned to each specific data by a user.

8. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the link manager displays a pop-up window which a user uses to enter the sign.

9. A mobile communication terminal comprising:

a receiver for receiving at least one linked specific data, and for receiving a message including a sign assigned to each linked specific data;

a display unit for displaying the message received from the receiver;

an input unit for selecting one of the sign(s) assigned to the specific data of the message; and

a controller for making a link connection corresponding to the sign selected by the input unit.

10. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, wherein the specific data comprises at least one of a name, a telephone number, an e-mail address, and an Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

11. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, wherein, if no sign is assigned to the specific data of the message received from the receiver, a sign is selectively assigned to the specific data using the input unit.

12. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, further comprising:

a link manager for assigning a sign to each specific data, if no sign is assigned to the specific data of the message received from the receiver.

13. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 12, wherein the link manager displays a pop-up window which a user uses to enter the sign to be assigned.

14. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, wherein the sign comprises at least one of a character, a number, and a combination of the character and the number.

15. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 11, wherein a location of the assigned sign in the message is selected by a user.

16. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, wherein the message is a Short Message Service (SMS) message, a Multimedia Message Service (MMS) message, or an Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) message.

17. The mobile communication terminal as claimed in claim 9, wherein the message comprises a document.

18. A method for link management at a transmission side, the method comprising:

(a) displaying a message including at least one specific data;

(b) setting a link to the at least one specific data included in the message, and assigning a sign to each specific data; and

(c) sending the message including the assigned sign(s).

19. The method as claimed in claim 18, wherein the specific data comprises at least one of a name, a telephone number, an e-mail address, and a Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

20. The method as claimed in claim 18, wherein the sign comprises at least one of a character, a number, and a combination of the character and the number.

21. The method as claimed in claim 18, wherein the message is a Short Message Service (SMS) message, a Multimedia Message Service (MMS) message, or an Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) message.

22. The method as claimed in claim 18, wherein the message comprises a document.

23. The method as claimed in claim 18, wherein in the step (b), the link is set or the sign is assigned to the specific data using an input from a user.

24. The method as claimed in claim 23, wherein in the step (b), a pop-up window is displayed for the user to enter the sign to be assigned.

25. A method for link management at a receiving side, the method comprising:

(a) receiving at least one linked specific data, and a message including a sign assigned to each linked specific data;

(b) selecting at least one of the sign(s) assigned to the specific data of the message; and

(c) making a link connection corresponding to the selected sign.

26. The method as claimed in claim 25, wherein the specific data comprises at least one of a name, a telephone number, an e-mail address, and a Uniform Resource Locator URL.

27. The method as claimed in claim 25, wherein, if no sign is assigned to the specific data of the message received in the (a) step, a sign is selectively assigned by a user to the specific data.

28. The method as claimed in claim 25, wherein a link manager automatically assigns a sign to each specific data, if no sign is assigned to the specific data of the message received in the (a) step.
