1. A surgical fastener device for fixing bone elements comprising:

  • a) a flexible cable having a first and second ends;

    b) a crimp member having a first and second holes;

    c) the flexible cable having an enlargement (a bead) affixed to its first end;

    d) the second end of the flexible cable being insertable through the second hole of the crimp member;

    e) the first hole of the crimp member being a slotted hole, with a proximal and a distal part;

    f) the proximal part of the first hole having a cavity sized to accept the enlargement (bead) of the first end of the flexible cable;

    g) the distal part of the first hole sized to allow the flexible cable to pass through, while the larger beaded first end of the flexible cable being stopped; and

    h) the second hole of the crimp member being a through hole, sized to allow the second end of the flexible cable to pass through it.
