1. A transflective liquid crystal display device which includes a liquid crystal display panel having a pair of substrates and liquid crystal which is sandwiched between the pair of substrates, the liquid crystal display panel including a plurality of sub pixels each of which includes a transmissive portion and a reflective portion, each sub pixel of the plurality of sub pixels including a pixel electrode which is formed on one substrate out of the pair of substrates and a counter electrode which is formed on the one substrate, and an electric field being generated between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode thus driving the liquid crystal, wherein the each sub pixel is configured such that the pixel electrode is formed in common with respect to the transmissive portion and the reflective portion and the counter electrode is formed independently with respect to the transmissive portion and the reflective portion.
