Abstract

A passive, manually operated counter conveniently displays a set of digits which define the mileage at which an oil change should be performed on a vehicle and a month display which defines the month of the next oil change.

Claims

1. A passive mileage/date reminder system comprising:

a front plate defining a plurality of mileage digit windows and a date window therethrough;

a plurality of digit wheels, one digit wheel behind each of the plurality of mileage digit windows; and

a month wheel behind the date window.

2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a back plate behind the front plate and behind the digit wheel and the month wheel.

3. The system of claim 2, further comprising an adhesive backing behind the back plate.

4. The system of claim 2, further comprising a detent on the back wheel associated with each of the plurality of digit wheels.

5. The system of claim 2, further comprising a detect on the back wheel associated with the month wheel.

6. The system of claim 1, further comprising a knurled edge on each of the plurality of digit wheels and the months wheel.
