Optical switching device (D) for a switching node (NC) of a transparent optical network, comprising i) at least one input port adapted to be coupled to an upstream optical line (FEi) dedicated to the transport of multiplexed channels, ii) at least one exit point, and iii) switching means (MC) coupling each input port to each exit point, characterized in that it further comprises processing means (MTi) disposed at the level of said at least one input port to add to the channels that reach each input port of said switching device (D) a signature including first information representative at least of that switching node (NC).
