According to one method, a first call setup signaling message containing a first portion of a called party identifier is received. A second call setup signaling message containing a second portion of the called party identifier is received. The first and second portions of the called party identifier are used to perform an address translation.

(b) a consolidation function for;
(i) receiving the first and second call setup messages from the communication interface; and
(ii) combining the first and second portions of the called party identifier; and
