Abstract

Method and system including receiving one or more parameters associated with an orthodontic condition, receiving a treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition, and providing a predefined template associated with the received treatment goal information, wherein the predefined template includes at least one orthodontic condition related information, are provided.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving one or more parameters associated with an orthodontic condition;

receiving a treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition; and

providing a predefined template associated with the received treatment goal information, wherein the predefined template includes at least one orthodontic condition related information.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein providing the predefined template includes:

querying a database based on the treatment goal information for the predefined template; and

generating the predefined template when it is determined during querying the database that the predefined template is not stored in the database.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein providing the predefined template includes retrieving the predefined template from a database for display to a user.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further including generating a treatment plan information based on the information received in the predefined template.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 4 further including providing the treatment plan information to a user.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further including receiving a modified treatment goal information.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6 wherein providing the predefined template includes:

querying a database based on the modified treatment goal information; and

providing a modified predefined template.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 wherein providing the modified predefined template includes generating the modified predefined template based on the modified treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 further including storing the modified predefined template.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein searching the database includes selecting from a plurality of predefined templates the predefined template associated with the orthodontic condition and the treatment goal information.

10. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving one or more parameters associated with an orthodontic condition;

receiving a treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition;

searching a database for a predefined template associated with the orthodontic condition and the treatment goal information;

retrieving information associated with the orthodontic condition and the treatment goal information;

completing at least a portion of the predefined template with the retrieved information; and

providing the predefined template completed with the retrieved information.

12. The computer-implemented method of claim 10 further including generating a treatment plan information based on the information received in the predefined template.

13. A system, comprising:

a data storage unit; and

a data processing unit operatively coupled to the data storage unit, the data processing unit configured to receive one or more parameters associated with an orthodontic condition, to receive a treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition, and to provide a predefined template associated with the received treatment goal information, wherein the predefined template includes at least one orthodontic condition related information.

14. The system of claim 13 wherein the data processing unit is configured to query the data storage unit based on the treatment goal information for the predefined template, and to generate the predefined template when it is determined during querying the database that the predefined template is not stored in the database.

15. The system of claim 13 further including a display unit operatively coupled to the data processing unit, the data processing unit further configured to retrieve the predefined template from the data storage unit for display on the display unit.

16. The system of claim 13 wherein the data processing unit is further configured to generate a treatment plan information based on the information received in the predefined template.

17. The system of claim 16 further including a display unit operatively coupled to the data processing unit, the data processing unit further configured to display the treatment plan information on the display unit.

18. The system of claim 13 wherein the data processing unit is further configured to receive a modified treatment goal information.

19. The system of claim 18 wherein the data processing unit is further configured to query the data storage unit based on the modified treatment goal information, to provide a modified predefined template based on the query.

20. The system of claim 19 wherein the data processing unit is further configured to generate the modified predefined template based on the modified treatment goal information associated with the orthodontic condition.

21. The system of claim 19 wherein the data processing unit is further configured to store the modified predefined template in the data storage unit.
