Abstract

A projection display module coupled to the control IC for the data projection. The projection display module includes three liquid crystal panels that perform image displays in red, green, and blue, respectively; light emitting sources are employed and positioned in correspondence with the liquid crystal panels, respectively. A prism is used for each display color combination, wherein the liquid crystal panels and the light emitting sources are positioned on the light-incidence side of the side surfaces of the prism. A projection lens is provided on the light emission side of the prism.

Claims

1. A projector comprising:

a prism used for each display color combination;

three color image display liquid crystal panels that displays image in red, green, and blue, respectively positioned on the light-incidence side of said prism for each display color combination;

panel form light emitting sources positioned in correspondence with said three color image display liquid crystal panels to emit red, green and blue light, wherein said three color image display liquid crystal panels and said panel form light emitting sources are positioned on light-incidence side of said prism; and

projection lens positioned on light emission side of said prism to enlarge the projection image.

2. The projector of claim 1, wherein said panel form light emitting sources includes organic electroluminescence elements that are capable of emission of red, green, and blue light.

3. The projector of claim 1, wherein said panel form light emitting sources includes LED.

4. A projector comprising:

a prism used for each display color combination;

three color image display liquid crystal panels that perform image displays in red, green, and blue, respectively are positioned on the light-incidence side of said prism for each display color combination;

organic electroluminescence light emitting sources positioned in correspondence with said three color image display liquid crystal panels to emit red, green and blue light, wherein said three color image display liquid crystal panels and said organic electroluminescence light emitting sources are positioned on light-incidence side of said prism; and

projection lens positioned on light emission side of said prism to enlarge the projection image.

5. The projector of claim 4, wherein said organic electroluminescence light emitting sources are capable of emission of red, green, and blue light.
