Abstract

An apparatus and method of controlling an action change gap interval in a multi-hop relay cellular network, includes constructing a first symbol included in a first frame as a first interval for a first action change and a second interval for exchanging data; and constructing a last symbol included in the first frame as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a second action change. Accordingly, the system capacity and the system efficiency can be raised by reducing the overhead due to the action change gap in the cellular network.

Claims

1. An operating method of a relay station (RS) to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

transmitting data in a second interval after performing a first action change in a first interval of a first symbol included in a first subframe;

performing a second action change in a second interval after transmitting data in a first interval of a last symbol included in the first subframe; and

receiving data in a second subframe.

2. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the first symbol generating step comprises:

generating a subchannel mapped to a certain number of subcarriers;

repeatedly mapping the subchannel to an entire band of the symbol at uniform intervals; and

removing the subchannel mapped to the action change gap from the symbol.

3. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the last symbol generating step comprises:

generating a subchannel mapped to a certain number of subcarriers;

repeatedly mapping the subchannel to an entire band of the symbol at uniform intervals; and

removing the subchannel mapped to the action change gap from the symbol.

4. The operating method of claim 2, wherein a length of the action change gap is smaller than one symbol.

5. The operating method of claim 2, wherein a length of the action change gap is equal to a length of one symbol.

6. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the action change gap is one of a receive/transmit transition gap (RTG) and a transmit/receive transition gap (TTG).

7. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have the same length lengths.

8. The operating method of claim 1, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have different lengths.

9. The operating method of claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting data using symbols excluding the first symbol and the last symbol of the first subframe.

10. An operating method of an RS to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

receiving data in a second interval after performing a first action change in a first interval of a first symbol included in a first subframe;

receiving data in a first interval of a last symbol included in the first subframe and performing a second action change in a second interval; and

transmitting data in a second subframe.

11. The operating method of claim 10, further comprising:

receiving data using symbols excluding the first symbol and the last symbol of the first subframe.

12. An operating method of an RS to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

transmitting data in a second interval after performing a first action change in a first action of a first symbol included in a first subframe; and

receiving data in a second interval after performing a second action change in a first interval of a first symbol included in a second subframe.

13. The operating method of claim 12, wherein the first symbol generating step comprises:

generating a subchannel mapped to a certain number of subcarriers;

repeatedly mapping the subchannel to an entire band of the symbol at uniform intervals; and

removing the subchannel mapped to the action change gap from the symbol.

14. The operating method of claim 12, wherein a length of the action change length is smaller than a length of one symbol.

15. The operating method of claim 12, wherein a length of the action change length is equal to a length of one symbol.

16. The operating method of claim 12, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

17. The operating method of claim 12, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have the same length.

18. The operating method of claim 12, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have different lengths.

19. The operating method of claim 12, further comprising:

transmitting data using symbols excluding the first symbol of the first subframe; and

receiving data using symbols excluding the first symbol of the second subframe.

20. An operating method of an RS to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

receiving data in a second interval after performing a first action change in a first interval of a first symbol included in a first subframe; and

transmitting data in a second interval after performing a second action change in a first interval of a first symbol included in a second subframe.

21. The operating method of claim 20, further comprising:

receiving data using symbols excluding the first symbol of the first subframe; and

transmitting data using symbols excluding the first symbol of the second subframe.

22. An operating method of an RS to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

performing a first action change in a second interval after transmitting data in a first interval of a last symbol included in a first subframe; and

performing a first action change in a second interval after receiving data in a first interval of a last symbol included in a second subframe.

23. The operating method of claim 22, wherein the last symbol generating step comprises:

generating a subchannel mapped to a certain number of subcarriers;

repeatedly mapping the subchannel to an entire band of the symbol at uniform intervals; and

removing the subchannel mapped to the action change gap from the symbol.

24. The operating method of claim 23, wherein a length of the action change gap is smaller than or equal to a length of one symbol.

25. The operating method of claim 22, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

26. The operating method of claim 22, further comprising:

transmitting data using symbols excluding the last symbol of the first subframe; and

receiving data using symbols excluding the last symbol of the second subframe.

27. The operating method of claim 22, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have the same length.

28. The operating method of claim 22, wherein the first action change gap and the second action change gap have different lengths.

29. An operating method of an RS to control an action change gap interval in a cellular network, the method comprising:

performing a first action change in a second interval after receiving data in a first interval of a last symbol included to a first subframe; and

performing a first action change in a second interval after transmitting data in a first interval of a last symbol included to a second subframe.

30. The operating method of claim 29, further comprising:

receiving data using symbols excluding the last symbol of the first subframe; and

transmitting data using symbols excluding the last symbol of the second subframe.

31. A transmitting apparatus for controlling an action change gap interval in a cellular network, comprising:

a transmit controller which generates and transmits a partial data symbol and a full data symbol carrying information available in an entire band in each subframe;

a frame constructor which generates data to be transmitted by coding and modulating data under control of the transmit controller; and

a transmit symbol generator which constructs a transmit symbol by generating a partial data symbol and the full data symbol using the data under control of the transmit controller.

32. The transmitting apparatus of claim 31, wherein the transmit symbol generator comprises:

a partial data symbol generator which generates the partial data symbol; and

a full data symbol generator which generates the full data symbol.

33. The transmitting apparatus of claim 32, wherein the partial data symbol generator comprises:

a permutation generator which generates a subchannel mapped to a certain number of subcarriers;

a resource allocator which repeatedly maps the subchannel to subcarriers of an entire band of a symbol according to an interleave resource allocation scheme;

an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) operator which performs an IFFT on the symbol; and

a symbol reducer which converts the processed parallel data to serial data and removes an action change gap from the entire band.

34. The transmitting apparatus of claim 33, wherein the symbol reducer receives a position and a length of the action change gap from the transmit controller and removes a subchannel corresponding to the action change gap from the entire band of the symbol.

35. The transmitting apparatus of claim 33, wherein the full data symbol generator comprises:

a resource allocator which generates a subchannel and maps the subchannel to an entire band of a symbol;

an IFFT operator which performs the IFFT on the symbol; and

a parallel/serial (P/S) converter which converts the processed parallel data to serial data.

36. The transmitting apparatus of claim 31, further comprising:

a cyclic prefix (CP) inserter which inserts an CP to the transmit symbol;

a digital/analog converter (DAC) which converts the CP-inserted digital signal to an analog signal; and

an antenna which transmits the analog signal.

37. A receiving apparatus for controlling an action change gap in a cellular network, comprising:

a receive controller which generates a control signal for an action change gap; and

a receiver which detects receive data excluding the action change gap, from a receive signal under control of the receive controller.

38. The receiving apparatus of claim 37, wherein the receiver comprises:

a partial symbol receiver which receives and detects a partial data symbol; and

a full symbol receiver which receives a full data symbol including information available to an entire band.

39. The receiving apparatus of claim 38, wherein the partial symbol receiver comprises:

a partial symbol extractor which detects only a partial symbol excluding the action change gap from an input signal;

an CP eliminator which receives the CP from the partial symbol;

a zero padder which inserts a zero sequence to the CP-removed partial symbol, the zero sequence having the same length as the action change gap;

a fast Fourier transform (FFT) operator which processes an output signal of the zero padder; and

a resource demapper which extracts only a signal corresponding to the partial symbol from the processed signal.

40. The receiving apparatus of claim 38, wherein the full symbol receiver comprises:

a symbol extractor which extracts a symbol from a receive signal;

an CP eliminator which removes an CP from the symbol;

an FFT operator which processes the CP-removed signal; and

a resource demapper which extracts a signal mapped to the entire band from the processed signal.

41. A subframe construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a first symbol included in a first subframe as a first interval for a first action change and a second interval for exchanging data; and

constructing a last symbol included in the first subframe as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a second action change.

42. The subframe construction method of claim 41, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

43. A subframe construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a first symbol included in a first subframe as a first interval for a first action change and a second interval for exchanging data; and

constructing a first symbol included in a second subframe as a first interval for a second action change and a second interval for exchanging data.

44. The subframe construction method of claim 43, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

45. A subframe construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a last symbol included in a first subframe as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a first action change; and

constructing a last symbol included to a second subframe as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a second action change.

46. The subframe construction method of claim 45, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

47. A frame construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a first symbol included in a first frame as a first interval for a first action change and a second interval for exchanging data; and

constructing a last symbol included to the first frame as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a second action change.

48. The frame construction method of claim 47, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

49. A frame construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a first symbol included in a first frame as a first interval for a first action change and a second interval for exchanging data; and

constructing a first symbol included in a second frame as a first interval for a second action change and a second interval for exchanging data.

50. The frame construction method of claim 49, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.

51. A frame construction method to control an action change gap in a cellular network, the method comprising:

constructing a last symbol included in a first frame as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a first action change; and

constructing a last symbol included to a second frame as a first interval for exchanging data and a second interval for a second action change.

52. The frame construction method of claim 51, wherein the action change gap is one of an RTG and a TTG.
