Abstract

An information output method for displaying information of a computer system executing a plurality of tasks includes the steps of reading out task construction information corresponding to a task executed by the computer system from a storage device and displaying by an output device the task construction information in a task construction display area inside an output area, reading out logical construction information associated with the task construction information from the storage device and displaying by the output device the logical construction information in a logical construction display area inside the output area, and reading out physical construction information associated with the logical construction information from the storage device and displaying by the output device the physical construction information in a physical construction display area inside the output area.

Claims

1. An information output method for outputting information that manages information of a computer system executing a plurality of tasks, for use in a management computer including a storage device for storing task construction information corresponding to a task executed by said computer system, logical construction information associated with said task construction information and physical construction information associated with said logical construction information and control means for controlling an output of the information from said management computer;

said information output method comprising the steps of;

selectively outputting by said control means at least one of said task construction information, said logical construction information and said physical construction information on the basis of user management information; and

outputting information representing a correspondence relation between said logical construction information associated with said task construction information and said physical construction information to output means.

An information output method according to claim 1, wherein an output area of said output means is divided when a plurality of construction display areas of either one of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area and said physical construction display area is displayed, and each of said construction display areas is displayed in each of said divided output areas by said output means.

An information output method according to claim 1, wherein a relation line representing a relation between construction displays of each of said construction display areas is displayed by said output means when a plurality of construction display areas of either one of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area and said physical construction display area is displayed.

4. An information output method according to claim 1, wherein a message of an event associated with the construction information displayed in said construction display area is displayed by said output means in an event console area of said output area.

5. An information output method according to claim 2, wherein a message of an event associated with the construction information displayed in said construction display area is displayed by said output means in an event console area of said output area.

6. An information output method according to claim 3, wherein a message of an event related with the construction information displayed in said construction display area is displayed by said output means in an event console area of said output area.

An information output method according to claim 4, wherein, when a message of an event associated with the logical construction information displayed in said logical construction display area is displayed in an event console area of said output area, a message of said logical construction information associated with said logical construction information is displayed as a message to said logical construction information by said output means.

An information output method according to claim 1, wherein a display attribute of construction information of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area or said physical construction display area is changed by said output means in accordance with the kind of the event received from said computer system.

An information output method according to claim 2, wherein a display attribute of construction information of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area or said physical construction display area is changed by said output means in accordance with the kind of the event received from said computer system.

An information output method according to claim 3, wherein a display attribute of construction information of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area or said physical construction display area is changed by said output means in accordance with the kind of the event received from said computer system.

An information output method according to claim 4, wherein a display attribute of construction information of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area or said physical construction display area is changed by said output means in accordance with the kind of the event received from said computer system.

An information output method according to claim 7, wherein a display attribute of construction information of said task construction display area, said logical construction display area or said physical construction display area is changed by said output means in accordance with the kind of the event received from said computer system.

An information output method according to claim 1, wherein information representing a display content of said output area is stored in a storage device at the time of user'"'"'s log-out, and display to said output area is made on the basis of the information so stored at the time of next log-in.

An information output system for outputting information that manages information of a computer system executing a plurality of tasks, for use in a management computer including a storage device for storing task construction information corresponding to a task executed by said computer system, logical construction information associated with said task construction information and physical construction information associated with said logical construction information, and control means for controlling an output of the information from said management computer;

said information output system comprising the steps of;

selectively outputting by said control means at least one of said task construction information, said logical construction information and said physical construction information on the basis of user management information; and

outputting information representing a correspondence relation between said logical construction information associated with said task construction information and said physical construction information to output means.

A program for causing a computer to execute an information output method for outputting information of a management system that manages information of a computer system executing a plurality of tasks, for in a management computer including a storage device for storing task construction information corresponding to a task executed by said computer system, logical construction information associated with said task construction information and physical construction information associated with said logical construction information, and control means for controlling an output of the information from said management computer;

said program comprising the steps of;

selectively outputting by said control means at least one of said task construction information, said logical construction information and said physical construction information associated with the former on the basis of user management information; and

outputting information representing a correspondence relation between said logical construction information associated with said task construction information and said physical construction information to output means.
