Abstract

Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for searching a searchable listing of an interactive menu prompting system. A search request is received, and the search request includes a search term. A query is sent to determine whether the search term occurs within in the searchable listing. A search result is received and communicated to a client.

Claims

1. A method for searching a searchable listing of an interactive menu prompting system, the method comprising:

receiving a search request comprising a search term;

querying to determine whether the search term occurs within in the searchable listing;

receiving a search result of the query; and

communicating the search result to a client.

2. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of receiving the search request comprises receiving a telephone number as the search term, and querying to determine whether the telephone number occurs within the searchable listing.

3. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of receiving the search request comprises receiving a telephone number as the search term, and further comprising querying to determine whether the telephone number is associated with the searchable listing.

4. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of receiving the search result comprises receiving a communications address associated with the search term.

5. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of receiving the search result comprises receiving a quick code, the quick code comprising a string of sequential responses for the interactive menu prompting system.

6. A method according to claim 1, wherein the step of receiving the search result comprises receiving a tag, the tag having a text string that matches the search term, the tag describing at least one of a genre, a category, and a subcategory associated with the searchable listing.

7. A method according to claim 7, wherein the step of receiving the search result comprises receiving related data associated with the tag.

8. A system for searching a searchable listing of an interactive menu prompting system, the system comprising:

a query handler stored in memory; and

a processor communicating with the memory,

wherein the processor receives a search request comprising a search term,

the query handler issues a query to determine whether the search term occurs within in the searchable listing,

the processor receives a search result of the query, and

the processor communicates the search result to a client.

9. A system according to claim 8, wherein the processor receives a telephone number as the search term, and the processor issues the query to determine whether the telephone number occurs within the searchable listing.

10. A system according to claim 8, wherein the processor receives a telephone number as the search term, and the processor issues the query to determine whether the telephone number is associated with the searchable listing.

11. A system according to claim 8, wherein the processor receives a communications address as the search result.

12. A system according to claim 8, wherein the processor receives a quick code as the search result, the quick code comprising a string of sequential responses for the interactive menu prompting system.

13. A system according to claim 8, wherein the processor receives a tag as the search result, the tag having a text string that matches the search term, the tag describing at least one of a genre, a category, and a subcategory associated with the searchable listing.

14. A system according to claim 13, wherein the processor receives related data associated with the tag.

15. A computer program product storing computer code for performing the steps:

receiving a search request comprising a search term, the search request packetized according to a packet protocol;

querying to determine whether the search term occurs within in a searchable listing of an interactive menu prompting system, the searchable listing comprising statements representing a menu of prompts;

receiving a search result of the query; and

communicating the search result to a client.

16. A computer program product according to claim 15, further comprising computer code for receiving a telephone number as the search term, and querying to determine whether the telephone number occurs within the searchable listing.

17. A computer program product according to claim 15, further comprising computer code for receiving a telephone number as the search term, and further comprising computer code for querying to determine whether the telephone number is associated with the searchable listing.

18. A computer program product according to claim 15, further comprising computer code for receiving a communications address associated with the search term.

19. A computer program product according to claim 15, further comprising computer code for receiving a quick code, the quick code comprising a string of sequential responses for the interactive menu prompting system.

20. A computer program product according to claim 15, further comprising computer code for:

i) receiving a tag, the tag having a text string that matches the search term, the tag describing at least one of a genre, a category, and a subcategory associated with the searchable listing; and

ii) receiving related data associated with the tag.
