1. An apparatus for delivering prostheses in a body lumen, the apparatus comprising:

  • an elongated flexible member having a proximal end and a distal end;

    a plurality of radially-expandable prostheses in an unexpanded condition arranged axially along the elongated flexible member near the distal end;

    an outer sheath slidably disposed over at least a portion of the prostheses; and

    a control mechanism coupled with the outer sheath and the elongated flexible member wherein the control mechanism includes means for selecting a plurality of prostheses to deploy in a range from 2 to 20, and wherein the control mechanism retracts the sheath a fixed distance to expose the selected plurality of prostheses outside the sheath in the unexpanded condition.
