Abstract

A liquid crystal display device is disclosed, which can improve the visibility for all directions, the liquid crystal display device includes: a common electrode; and a plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel includes a pixel electrode provided with pixel holes in a display control area, to thereby orient liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal in a radial pattern, and wherein the common electrode faces the plurality of pixel electrodes.

Claims

1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a common electrode; and

a plurality of pixels,

wherein each pixel includes a pixel electrode provided with pixel holes in a display control area, the pixel holes configured to orient liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal in a radial pattern, and

wherein the common electrode faces the plurality of pixel electrodes.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the shape of the holes includes a circle, ellipse, oval and a polygon.

3. The device of claim 2, where in the polygon is a regular polygon.

4. The device of claim 2, where in the polygon is an irregular polygon.

5. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes have the same orientation.

6. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes have at least two different orientations.

7. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes have the same shape.

8. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes have at least two different shapes.

9. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes are arranged at regular intervals.

10. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel holes are arranged at irregular intervals.

11. The device of claim 1, wherein the pixel electrode includes concentric pixel holes.

12. The device of claim 11, wherein the shape of the concentric holes includes a circle, ellipse, oval and a polygon.

13. The device of claim 12, where in the polygon is a regular polygon.

14. The device of claim 12, where in the polygon is an irregular polygon.

15. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes have the same orientation.

16. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes have at least two different orientations.

17. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes have the same shape.

18. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes have at least two different shapes.

19. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes are arranged at regular intervals.

20. The device of claim 11, wherein the concentric pixel holes are arranged at irregular intervals.
