Inductively chargeable massager
First Claim
1. A massager apparatus, comprising:
- a massager including a massager housing, a first electric motive source contained within the massager housing, a rechargeable battery contained within the massager housing connected to the first electric motive source, and a first coupler contained within the massager housing connected to the battery; and
a base including a base housing, a power connector at least partially contained within the base housing, a second coupler contained within the base housing connected to the power connector, and the base housing including a surface formed to support the massager housing with the first coupler energetically coupled to the second coupler;
whereby the battery in the massager can be charged using the base.

Abstract
A massager (12) includes an inductively chargeable battery (48), avoiding the need to deal with batteries and cords while providing a pleasant exothermic warmth. Different embodiments of sealing and skinning (13) make the massager (12) hygienically safe and fluid- and water-resistant. Sophisticated controls (50) provide the massager with the ability to respond to direct-mounted user controls (20, 22), wireless communication controls such as remote controls (30) and a plethora of other protocol-compatible devices, systems and media. A mating base (14) supports the massager (12) for inductive charging in a stable, aesthetically pleasant and safe relationship.

19. A massager apparatus, comprising:
-
a massager including a massager housing, at least first and second electric motors contained within the massager housing for imparting motion to the massager housing, at least first and second controls contained within the massager housing and operable through the massager housing to control the operation of the first and second electric motors, a rechargeable battery contained within the massager housing connected to provide power to each of the first and second electric motors, and a first inductive coupler contained within the massager housing connected to the battery;
a base including a base housing, a power connector at least partially contained within the base housing, a second inductive coupler contained within the base housing connected to the power connector, and the base housing including a surface formed to support the massager housing with the first inductive coupler energetically coupled to the second inductive coupler; and
each of the first and second inductive couplers and the rechargeable battery positioned so as to generate a palpable warmth to the surface of the massager housing when the battery is being inductively charged;
whereby the battery in the massager can be inductively charged using the base while the massager housing is warmed. - View Dependent Claims (20)
