1. A body fluid sampling system for use on a tissue site, the system comprising:
- a voice coil based penetrating member driver;
a plurality of penetrating members housed in or on a cartridge; and
a transport mechanism configured to move the cartridge to a position for an alignment with a penetrating member with the voice coil based penetrating member driver to drive the penetrating member along a path into the tissue site, wherein each of a penetrating member is operatively engaged with the penetrating member driver when moved into position by said by the transport mechanism.

Abstract
An improved penetrating tissue system is provided that reduces pain when penetrating tissue by providing controlled depth and velocity of penetration, stimulation and pressure to the targeted tissue without breaching a sterile enviromnent. The system has user interfaces, human interfaces and low volume sample chambers.
